Is the new show going to be The Daily Show at all? Why would it need a new set?!?

I have this old unmarked VHS tape that I recently found while moving. Oddly, I still had our old VHS player too so I hooked it up to see what was on the tape. Turned out to be an old episode of MST3k. I was a total junkie for that show back in the day. This particular episode was taped at the time the original Daily Show with Craig Kilborn was being HEAVILY promoted by CC. So every break had at least 2-3 bumpers with some 2 second bit of newsreel repeated a few times and then Kilborn’s snotty voice over of something not funny. I had forgotten just how terrible the original was.

Stewart took that show from Kilborn and reinvented it into something unique and special and transcendent. It will not be the same show going forward. It will never be as great as Jon’s tenure. But let’s hope Noah will be better than Kilborn’s version.
