Out of the six worst fixes the only one that puts the onus on gun owners is the Hannity’s suggestion of lock boxes. Every other suggestion costs the rest of us money so that the few of them can be Rambo.
Let’s go ahead and test ole Judge Napolitano’s proposal. I’ll spot him a slingshot and heck, even Judge Jeanie Pirro with a slingshot against me with an AR-15. To make it sporting, I’ll only bring a single standard 20-round magazine. Heck, I’ll even take my glasses off.

- 14 injured, several in horrific and life-changing ways.
- Deaths and injuries were caused by a single shooter with an AR-15 firing bullets from a high capacity magazine with a very high muzzle velocity.
- High velocity bullets are designed to cause massive damage to the human body from a distance.
- The more bullets that are shot, the more people are likely to be hit.
- The faster the rate of fire, the more bullets can be shot before targets can react and move to get out of the line of fire.
- The easier it is to reload, the less time there is for anyone to evade the shooter or attempt to get close enough to fight him/her off.
- Paul Ryan is a dead eyed, soulless, child-killer-enabling asshole that will do nothing about guns in the US yet again.

I think Hannity’s idea (even if he is just shilling for some company) has some merit. And since the only reason (ostensibly) that a Responsible Gun Owner takes their weapon out of its lock box is for personal protection or sport shooting, no one will object if gun safes are equipped with a device that notifies the police whenever the safe is opened and a gun removed.
With each mass shooting you think maybe this is the one that’ll motivate the soulless cretins to do something, but then you hear Governor Stand Your Ground Scott talking about “having a conversation” about weapons, and you know they have no intention of doing anything.
