Discussion: Thailand's Junta Bans All Anti-Coup Protests

Discussion for article #223273

While Thais have mostly taken these things in stride for the past fifty years or so, I’m starting to sense that they’re developing a greater expectation of democracy of late, and losing patience with these recurring coups. At the same time, this latest junta led by Gen. Prayuth seems, well, grouchier than the last few groups, and less willing to tolerate the unruly behavior by opponents. Together, these two changes from coups past could spell some real trouble for the Kingdom. Not very sabai.
