A reminder who Abbott is. He won a multi-million dollar lawsuit against the “grossly negligent” homeowners and their insurance company for a tree that fell on him after he chose to jog after a severe storm.
When he was the Attorney General of the State he campaigned for and pushed for several laws limiting “frivolous lawsuits” and putting caps on monetary awards for personal injury accidents.
He also opposes, no shock the ADA as big government. He’d probably cheer Richard Widmark in the film Kiss of death.
