That caught my eye as well. The two are pretty far apart – again, unless he found one of the very few conservative Episcopal congregations.
Per Mr. Pierce, Gohmert is “Padishah Emperor For Life of the Crazy People.” Probably an asshole, too, but definitely crazy. And the list of contenders from the Lone Star State is very, very long…
Rick Miller isn’t dealing with the real world that is in front of him. This is his son and he is being open and honest and not holding back which, considering who his father is, has to be very, very hard.
Introducing bills as a lawmaker won’t put an end to the reality of being Gay no more than taxing Christian Churches would stifle faith.
The intentional misunderstandings and twists of logic shine badly on old man Miller. First off, he diminishes that which he claims to hold dearly by using Christianity as his excuse for his own personal distastes. There is nothing remotely Christian about his POV. Secondly, he condemns his son because he isn’t just like him and that is his military background as well as his blind faith kicking in. If he forced his son to walk the line that he wanted him to walk would that be satisfying somehow?
In the battle of Gay vs. twisted Christianity, Gay wins without doubt.
