My dream come true! @tena and her district got rid of their evil Texas congresscritter, and now we have too!

Now, who to run for the Dems…

After last night’s election returns, I think you will see a raft of Republicans stampeding towards the Congressional Exits to set up shop on K-Street for it gets too crowded by the other rats jumping off the Trump Titanic.

After last night I think a lot of Republicans finally are being pushed into the realization, one that they tried so hard to ignore and convince themselves couldn’t possibly be true, that Trump and their policies are toxic. In other words, as Shakespeare once famously said, “Shit’s getting real, bitchez!”
Thoughts and prayers, Teddy. And hugs!

Still doing happy dance.

But, as Celine Dion sang, “His farts will go on!”

So this will open the way for Bannon to show off his chops. May those chops be chopped off.

And others - those die hard a$$es who loved Trump because he was an a$$ - well some of them are just getting dumped.

Heavily gerrymandered - it’s the only way Poe kept winning. They joined a swath of the progressives who live close to downtown Houston with the country conservatives all the way in the far suburbs of Humble. They took away our voting power, as they’ve done with the progressives in Austin and Dallas. But things are changing…

Hey, give the man credit ---- if the number of voluntary Gooper “retirements” and “moving ons” continue at this pace, he actually WILL have drained the swamp of some of the surface-level (i.e., “duckweed”) pond scum.

(Unfortunately, the bottom-dwellers may not be so affected. But at least the Gillespie defeat has shown us that the number of bottom-dwellers might just not increase.)

How many retirements is that now?

Someone asked Rick Wilson on Twitter how many more republicans would be retiring, and he said 7. I wonder if that’s too low.

MAYS LANDING, N.J. (AP) — A New Jersey politician who shared a meme on Facebook during January’s Women’s March in Washington asking whether the protest would be “over in time for them to cook dinner” is eating his words.

I hope he’s eating delicious crow this morning. Women rule!

Not enough. And just think what kinds of maniacs may replace these men. I’m not unhappy that we will lose some of the most worthless, backwards members of Congress, but very wary of who will follow in their footsteps. Let’s not get cocky, though last night was the best news I’ve heard in a year.

OT, but continuing with the good news:

ACA enrollments have shot up over this day last year in spite of all the attempts to derail things.

It might just turn out – especially with the Maine result – that the ACA will be the Goopers’ zombie enemy.
