I also like Tester because he had an Australian Shepherd when he first ran for office and used him in his ads. I had an Aussie back then that looked a lot like his, Blue Merle. Just a dog person here going with the experience of dog people are usually good people. Or, in a more general way, pet people are usually good people.

No polling reports in the news yet, but … Donnelly and Tester manning up, Flake slightly de-flaking along with Collins and Murkowski? They’re reading something and it’s not just tea leaves. If there were overnights on the self-righteous prick’s performance, they must have been disastrous.

My stepson and his 2 kids live in MT. I’ve been there a few times and so feel some affiliation with the state.
They, too, had an Aussie that died. I used to love how he watched over the kids when they were toddlers. They were his lambs and he watched over them so affectionately–herding them if he thought they faced some hazard. It was a joy to watch.
One thing you never really find yourself worrying about when you worry about “red state Dems” is whether Tester will do the right thing when the stake are high. Ditto McCaskill. We need to give them more props than they get for that.
The Republican guvs may be looking at their state legislative races with growing alarm. Hope so!
