Discussion: Tennessee's Anti-Trans Bathroom Bill Fails After Intense Opposition

Oh, not to worry! They’ll try again next year. Hey, it’s Tennessee where the only good lay is your sister…or step-mom!

No wonder they raise so many mentally handicapped Republicans.

Bullshit! If you were born female and have transitioned to male - let’s say you have facial hair, look and dress like a man - now you’re required to use the women’s rest room. HOW is that protecting your privacy?!

Yep, the very thing that they’re supposedly trying to “protect” their kids from.

EDIT TO ADD: Oh yeah, - next year will be MUCH better.

I found the proposed law offensive as well. But why is your comment accusing an entire state population of incest and inbreeding any less bigoted and offensive than the concerns the lawmakers purportedly had about transgendered people?

Supporters of the measure maintained they were only trying to protect student privacy by looking in their pants and comparing observed plumbing to specificiations given on their birth certificate.

FIXED THAT FOR YOU YOU FUCKING FUCKERS! AAAGGGGGGHHH!

Well. At least Tennessee had the good sense to oppose this bill, I’m sure after witnessing what’s happening to North Carolina right now. The thing is, they always try to couch these bills as being for “safety” and “privacy”, yet these morons don’t realize that A) There’s never been a single problem and B) these bills actually FORCE people to reveal their genitals and in fact, do precisely the opposite.

This is nothing but hysteria cooked up by a Regressive Right Wing that constantly seeks to “other” anyone that’s not white, straight, and Christian. And it’s simply a distraction to hide the fact that Republicans absolutely suck at governing.

I meant only the winger-republiscum-Palin-Trump-Cruz-Christie-Ryan-McTurtle part of the republican party. Apologies to small animals, little kids, pregnant republican women (God, they must be suffering!) and intelligent republican voters who eschew the violence, inanity, misogyny, stupidity and crassness of those named above.

The rest can go directly to f*kcing hell!

“There’s definitely some issues we need to work out,” Lynn said.

Which is to say you admit you put a half-assed, defective bill on your agenda, and only just now realized it.

Precisely. It amazes me that these goobers haven’t thought things through even this far.
