Discussion: Tennessee Dems Call For House Speaker To Resign Over Racist, Sexually Explicit Texts

OK, article number 2 in the same day. Are we going to be shown the texts or not? The one in the other article is fucking harmless, so why is that the one chosen to illustrate all these serious allegations? WTF is going on here?

ETA: OK, the other new article lays it out a bit and yeah, Casada’s gotta go, but that one text in which he was sharing or responding to a pole dancer picture isn’t even part of why.

What the hell is going on here? All of you know anything is OK if you are a Republican.

Don’t hold your breath for the Rethugs to do the right thing. That’s not in their toolbox.

I hope Kirsten Gillibrand doesn’t hear about this.

So, I didn’t Google him ( which, kinda sounds like something that would be in one his texts …).

I am assuming, he’s an evangelical, family values, gay-hating, Trump-luvin, anti-Semitic, science-hating, …

Oh lord, I’ll just shorthand it - he’s a Republican.

Note to Republicans - government facilities are not locker rooms or restricted in access to only one sex. Grow up, boys. Y’all are embarrassing.

Gov. Bill Lee had this reaction: “Ah c’mon now. He was jist a-joshin’ yall. Ain’tcha got no sense of humor? Hyuk, hyuk.”

The CoS used the n-word and said “Black people are idiots.” And all kinds of other mishegas.

Not to worry, the speaker has already found an upstanding replacement for the disgraced chief of staff.

While Gilmer’s hiring seeks to provide stability in the speaker’s office, he has a past that includes his own run-in with controversy.

In 2009, when he was a Republican state House aide, Gilmer entered a no contest plea to a misdemeanor charge that he created a fake political website using the name of former state Rep. Nathan Vaughn.

I encourage him to fight this all the way to the next election. Can’t think of a better way to turn Tennessee blue in 2020.

This is TN and all is A-OK if you are a “preacher” and especially if you are REPUG. I have lived in very small towns, very large cities all over the country, north/south, east/west. When I retired I relocated to East TN to be closer to my children. I was told by many this was a great place to retire and nice people. Bull Phucky. I have never heard as must vulgar language and cursing anywhere as I do here. As I have grown older my language has grown courser but I’m a piker compared to what I hear around here. I can’t even go grocery shopping without hearing cursing. In many cases I over hear people claiming to be “preachers” who are some of the worse.

Now don’t get me started on corruption…agh!!!

Not happening, this is the state that elected a Rep who (1) held a pistol to his ex’s head, (2) is anti abortion but pushed his multiple mistresses to have them.
