See. Smoking IS bad for you.

His lawyers told the blog that a plainclothes NYPD officer suspected Hamer of smoking marijuana, but the lawyers noted that their client was only charged with disorderly conduct.

Good thing this incident was caught on video. Otherwise we’d hear the standard “he was resisting arrest”, “acting in a threatening manner” and “tried to reach for my gun” excuses for having the shit kicked out of him.

Serve and protect, my ass.

File a lawsuit, and take a number.

Can’t wait for the RWNJs to start pointing at this as evidence that it’s “just a problem with police in general, not a problem with white police or anything related to racism.”

Too bad the officer didn’t work in Anchorage.

Corrupt at it’s core. I’m still reeling from that Coney Island video where the cop robbed a man and more so from his lieutenant’s statement telling people to stop taking video of this BS. If any of these recent, alleged abuse videos that have been popping up are examples of police acting lawfully, then that is the scandal.

I agree. Get it on film.

Keep the cameras out everybody. Keep shining a light on this.

Has the policeman been charged? If not, someone is not doing their job and needs to be fired.

I’m sure it’s someone’s full time job to cover the asses of these thugs to make sure they DON’T get fired. After all, they are keeping “the rest of us” (i.e. those of us who don’t get cold-cocked for not breaking the law) safe.

It was always there, it’s just that everybody has a video camera on them these days and can document it.

The police union, that’s their job.

“charged with disorderly conduct”

“plainclothes NYPD officer”

Always found this to be a real odd / awkward situation - at what point is the civilian made aware that the plain clothes person that is getting in their face - is actually a law enforcement officer …
is it really “disorderly” conduct if the person is simply disregarding the statements of a plain-clothesed stranger?

I tell my nephews, have respect for cops and people in general. But when it comes to police officers, do not consider them your friend neither are they your enemy. Just be very careful because MOST cops are criminals, just like the ones they arrest.

Scientific studies prove that. Same personality traits in officers and offenders

They are called “police review boards”, “prosecutors” and “judges”.

In my youth, I was arrested for having the temerity for yelling “asshole” at some asshole who almost ran me over. I didn’t know they (he and his partner) were cops until they threw me up against a fence and put handcuffs on me.

Then there was the little matter of him choking me in the basement of the station before I was booked…

There is someone who has the power to counter balance the “Police Unions” “Public Review Boards” Prosecutors" and “Judges”. He is called the “Mayor”.

Where is DeBlasio? He seems more worried about protecting horses than people.

I would start calling people into the office at the top of the chain of command and start working my way down.

I would have one question, today is somebodies last day at work. It’s either the person responsible for this bullshit or its yours. What’s your answer?
