Discussion: Ted Cruz's Campaign, Publisher Lash Out At New York Times Best Seller List

I thought that was the bestseller list they were bitching about.

They seem to think that if the “liberal media” would just give more recognition to someone like Cruz, the American public would learn what he is about and become conservative converts and Cruz supporters. They really don’t understand that he doesn’t get much positive recognition because he is a f*cking whack job.

Cruz is a Republican, right?

So instead of pages this thing must be engraved on stone tablets by the finger of God?

Well…these are the same people who wave their Confederate flags while reminding us that they are the party of Lincoln.

I wish a real journalist would ask Cruz the following question:
Why did it take your father 48 years after leaving Cuba. to become a U S citizen?

“Cruz’s father, Rafael Bienvenido Cruz, was born in 1939 in Matanzas, Cuba. As a teenager, he joined Fidel Castro’s guerrilla groups to fight against the regime of Fulgencio Batista. He left Cuba in 1957 to attend the University of Texas.[19] Rafael Cruz became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2005. Cruz’s father eventually left the oil business to become a minister, and he is now a pastor in Carrollton, Texas, a Dallas suburb.”

I live in a city of 17000 people. 12000 is pretty small. What’s more, people read a lot more than you might think. Given my ties to the industry, books are still selling very well. Yes, they are selling best through the internet and in ebook form, but 12000 books would not even begin to cover the sales that should have happened in places like Mississippi, Georgia, and South Carolina. Even if they were individual sales to libraries, 12000 is far too small a number to cover purchases by libraries, colleges and universities.

My suspicion is that Cruz is trying to ramp up some free publicity because that is a pathetic number of books being purchased.

Am I the only one who can’t get comments to load on Politico? When I click “View Comments” it acts like it’s reloading but ultimately nothing happens. With all the whackjobs there I feel like I’m missing out on most of the fun of the site.

Not to mention the fact that so many of his supporters should be, conceivably, buying up the book.

The Republican Party is an anarchist insurgency, dedicated to dismantling The United States as we know it, eventually creating a consumer-rich pasture in which various forms of Hell are merchandized.

The MSM is obligated to behave as though it is the Repubican Party of Eisenhower.

The “race against time” is this:

How long can the MSM treat the Republicans as though it is a Party concerned in any way with the welfare of its citizens, in the midst of this race to the Bottom?

In other words, how fast can we dumb down new people entering into adulthood, as we ride the Base of Republican voters?

It really is the best part of that site. The Cruz/Trump love is off the charts and suggests that the site heavily draws from a population of seriously brain damaged individuals. Perhaps Politico has an exclusivity deal with hospitals that specialize in lobotomies?

In any event, maybe you should try a different web browser?

Yep…the giant floppy purple dildo on the car at the end is a metaphor for Cruz…huge, fake, and flaccid dick…

I know some older Texans like to keep a few of their neighbors’ cattle on their property to claim an ag exemption and smirk about it when they tell you they found a loophole.

Cruz’s reaction is what you’d hear if you told them they shouldn’t get $400 for letting other people’s cows shit in their yard.

But, everyone seems to agree that if the 12000 were legitimate, that would put it on the best seller list. The argument is whether they were real sales. So, it doesn’t take that much to make the list apparently,

…sometimes over 400 people per event."

Where once equals sometimes.

Go back to Canada. If they won’t take you back, try Cuba. Now that I think about it, neither would probably want him. What’s wrong with Texas?
