Discussion: Ted Cruz: Yes, Mitch McConnell Lied To Me And I Don't Regret Saying It

I’m glad I’m not an R.

Too much petty drama these days.

I’m sure this ā€˜interview’ will have Senators just rallying to his side…

True. But… aaaahhhh… the sweet, sweet nectar of schadenfreude…

It’s also kind of funny how stuff like this nowadays really does give me an urge to eat popcorn.

It’s almost hard to believe that his colleagues in the Senate aren’t lining up to support him…

The problem of a pathological liar: He can’t believe that anyone tells the truth.

So Lying Ted is bummed someone lied to him.

So much for that vaunted Senate outreach. Lasted for what…almost a day?

Politicians tell lies. What else is new. McConnell is a champion liar. But Ted Cruz is worse.

Yep Teddy boy, calling McConnell a liar again is sure going to help with getting Senatorial support for your losing campaign.

Ted, you’re a republican. Mitch McConnell is a republican. Republicans, as a rule, are lying, sanctimonious bastards. You know you’re not surprised. But we get it. The show is for the rubes.

I’m surprised to hear myself saying this, but Ted is exactly right here. We could do with more people on the inside calling out the political machinations of congress.

Thanks for the picture of Cruz at the top of this story.
There goes any chance to digest this evening’s dinner.

Ted Cruz: ā€œWhen I lie, it’s God’s will.ā€ ā€œWhen you lie, it’s because you are controlled by Satan.ā€

But look at that face. Can you imagine how thin you’d be if you had to see that face all the time?

It’s like someone took balloon, jammed a skull with no chin inside, and then inflated the balloon with a combination of pig shit and sewage.

He’s counting on their love of power overcoming their hate of him.

Will it? We’ll see.

Just about everything that comes out of Ted Cruz’s mouth is a lie, exaggeration or a misrepresentation of the facts. He has no right to expect anything better from anyone else.

It would be a decent strategy except for the fact that no one in the Senate thinks that Ted Cruz getting power means they’d be any better off.

I bet a lot of them would rather have Obama be President for a 3rd term, because if nothing else it would make their reelection campaign easier.

When rejecTED (thanks for that!) has to return to the senate, it’s highly unlikely that he will be welcomed back by anyone in that storied chamber.

And the candidate who will be remembered as ā€œcouldn’t even beat Donal Trumpā€ (unless he succeeds in getting the GOP establishment, against whom he rails, to cheat for him) so he’ll never be considered a serious candidate in the future.

And I think it’s fair to say that lobbyists are valued because of their ability to exploit the good relationships they formed while on The Hill, so that’s obviously out, too.

What’s left for Raphael? Perhaps he’ll return to his native land and run for office there. (with deep regrets to our northern friends)

I’m not so sure that being a liar in modern American politics is undesirable. Calling a pol a lair is a bit like calling a frog slimy. Supposed to be that way.
