Discussion for article #240212
At which point, Cruz should demand to be incarcerated with her because he plans to commit crimes by ignoring the law and the Constitution as well.
Well, as cruel and unusual punishments go, that’s a doozy.
The First Amendment is foundational to all other freedoms we enjoy…
Wait! More important than the 2nd? Say it ain’t so.
Well, its doubtful there will be any turn to the middle for the general from the GOP this campaign. Instead all the candidates are piling on rapidly to show in the most public ways possible that they are completely unhinged from any notion of a constitutional republic.
That’s a whole heckuva lot of stink in one small cramped space.
"“Sen. Cruz will continue doing everything in his power to defend Kim Davis”
Which is to say, nothing.
They’ll read Green Eggs and Ham together and will still only focus on the “I do not like them” part of the story.
Loathesome, hypocritical opportunist
"It is important to Sen. Cruz that Kim Davis and all Americans understand his commitment to defending their first amendment rights to religious liberty. The First Amendment is foundational to all other freedoms we enjoy and it is tragic that in America today, our own citizens would have to worry about being targeted or arrested for merely living out their religious convictions
Yet Rafael Cruz fails to observe that the very First Amendment he’s praising makes it illegal for Kim Davis to do what she’s doing - using the power of the State to enforce a particular set of religious beliefs on the public at large.
It’s called the Establishment Clause, Senator, and it’s kind of a big deal.
Crazy ass GOP candidates to visit Kim Davis
“Just think…Here we are, the afternoon sun beating down on
us, a dead, bloated rhino underfoot, and good friends flying in
from all over…I tell you, this is the best of times.”
could we but get so lucky!
Can a Muslim clerk at the DMV refuse to issue driver’s licenses to women?
This guy is Canadian, why is he so free to make a mockery of the American presidential election?
Green Eggs, Ham…and Jesus.
Your comment applies to Cruz, Davis, Staver, and everyone else involved in supporting her stuidity and bigotry.
Cruz should be dis-barred for advising people to break the law.
Meanwhile, at Kimmi’s church, the Rowan County Tea Party, chaired by Pastor Woody Blowme and Mrs. Wilma Ballsdrop , was holding a “Don’t Tred on Kim” service before rushing to pray for her and catch a glimpse of The Huckster and The Cubanadian, their saviors:
Cruz is known to be exceptionally intelligent and is a graduate of Harvard Law School. He has to know that this clerk is legally jailed. Yet he preaches the exact opposite. I am beginning to think he is a sociopath. Seriously.
Why in the world is the judge allowing visitors?! This woman needs to decide to do her job or quit. Why allow these grifters in to visit her with false hope?
Going to KY to campaign in Iowa and South Carolina.
