LOL
Ted is a fool.
What a knucklehead. He clearly is feeling left out as Rubio, Santorum, Jeb, et. al. are sucking up the oxygen in the tent.
Yeah, but this seems a pretty pointless game that isn’t going to grab any headlines. Unless he expects that SCOTUS is going to uphold the subsidies and wants to make gutting them a center piece of his campaign, this doesn’t make a lot of sense.
And while taking that approach certainly ups the ante for the crazy, its a pretty dicey move, even for the TP base. Consider he hasn’t offered up any alternatives to Obamacare in general, going after this one piece will force him into untenable positions even with the right wing media like Chris Wallace.
Ted Cruz would subpoena his aged granny if he thought it would get him 5 minutes media attention.
Cruz is a jerk, and a fraud looking to bully the Treasury people and score political points, but his arguments seem perfectly sound. I’m shocked he can be so coherent when he decides to be.
“This refusal is unacceptable and interferes with Congress’s and this Committee’s obligation to ensure proper functioning of federal agencies and the federal rulemaking process.”
Ted, excuse me, but how many Judiciary Conmittee mettings have you missed?
a poor player
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage
And then is heard no more: it is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.
Whenever I see or hear Cruz this comes to mind:
Until this moment, Senator, I think I have never really gauged your cruelty or your recklessness. Fred Fisher is a young man who went to the Harvard Law School and came into my firm and is starting what looks to be a brilliant career with us. Little did I dream you could be so reckless and so cruel as to do an injury to that lad. It is true he is still with Hale and Dorr. It is true that he will continue to be with Hale and Dorr. It is, I regret to say, equally true that I fear he shall always bear a scar needlessly inflicted by you. If it were in my power to forgive you for your reckless cruelty I would do so. I like to think I am a gentle man, but your forgiveness will have to come from someone other than me.
When McCarthy tried to renew his attack, Welch interrupted him:
Senator, may we not drop this? We know he belonged to the Lawyers Guild. Let us not assassinate this lad further, Senator. You’ve done enough. Have you no sense of decency, sir? At long last, have you left no sense of decency?
McCarthy tried to ask Welch another question about Fisher, and Welch interrupted:
Mr. McCarthy, I will not discuss this further with you. You have sat within six feet of me and could have asked me about Fred Fisher. You have seen fit to bring it out. And if there is a God in Heaven it will do neither you nor your cause any good. I will not discuss it further. I will not ask Mr. Cohn any more questions. You, Mr. Chairman, may, if you will, call the next witness.

Imagine if Cruz tried to improve government instead of leaving it like Texas after the floods.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. x1000
“The subpoena threat comes after Treasury declined to make the officials available, citing ongoing litigation on Obamacare subsidies!”
For a lawyer, Ted isn’t real bright!
SubPenis Envy rampant among GOTP.
All they have to do is follow what Rove did when he was subpoenaed!
If it’s good enough for Republican Administration, it’s good enough for a Democratic Administration!
It’s political dick wagging, nothing more.
All Ted knows how to do is launch “Cruz” missiles, a failed and self-righteous political strategy.
Shorter Cruz: “I am Hall Monitor now and you have to do whatever I say!”
Cruz has already shown he comes up short on the long-range planning thing.
Smarmy asshole has what can only be described as a God complex.
oh please give him idea’s…that I would love to see…so grandma you seem to be one of those moochers that need that evil socialist American hating Obamacare…is that not true…I said IS THAT NOT TRUE
