Justin Trudeau and the Liberals sweeping the election seems to have upset the Cubanadian. He was so confused, he referred to the Democratic debate and not the “Democrat debate.”

Pretty standard fare, dodge the question, attack the media, and the debate hosts as unlikely to vote in the Republicans primaries (as if Wall Street-centric CNBC could be accused of being liberal), run out the clock, and then accuse the questioner of throwing out insults instead of letting him answer the question.

the contempt for government is on full display… the country would be sooooo much better off with no regulations (carson), abolishing the irs (cruz), there’s no role for the federal government to be engaged in the economy (fiorina) …

I suppose GOP’ers will like all that…but in any other arena or case he’d be called a crybaby and a coward. It goes without saying that was a prefabbed memorized spiel. Purposed to bail him from a tough question.

How many of them have served as Secretary of State? How long has Bernie been in Congress? Two of the Democratic contenders have served as State Governors, so at least in parallel there…

AlI’ve heard from my country cousin when I try and engage in discussion is about the Libbryl Media Bias. Kind of like The Oreguniuns Libbryl bias.

Don’t know how you fared with your better half’s relatives but I’m giving up on mine. Conservatives are incapable/unwilling to have civil conversations. They get really angry when their authoritative stances are questioned.
Gotta behave since a few family gatherings are just over the horizons. Besides, they have more guns that I do.

Well, of course haven’t heard anything still from the better half’s relatives about anything remotely to do with politics. I did get an email this morning begging me to post more of my photos from our trip to London, because she loves all the fascinating history I caption the photos from the British Museum explain the history of a piece,e why it is important, etc.
Maybe someday it might sink in (even if just a little) that I kinda do know what I am talking about usually.
I just can’t get over the fact that Ted Cruz is only 44. That was my takeaway from the debate. A man who looks like he’s knock knock knocking on 60’s door, who looks like Uncle Fester’s twin brother, hasn’t even hit the midway point of his 40’s. It really is true that nastiness on the inside will find a way to the outside.
