A rare missing opportunity to call out on the dog whistling. Maybe they were right this time. Christmas, ya know.
Well, Princeton is practically Pennsyltucky.
because he was willing to have a beer with them, they voted for a guy from Yale twice.
So anything is possible
Good news, everyone! The TPM front page is almost completely Trump-free! (Bad newsâCruz has replaced him.)
Her debating skills are very important in this fight.
Or maybe I can say it in more dramatic terms:
Fuck Cruz
"Itâs not surprising to see a Democrat like Hillary Clinton coming in and attacking states, particularly Southern states," Cruz told WKRG earlier this week. âFrankly, itâs a bigotry from the Democrats. They look down on the southern states like weâre a bunch of hicks. Look, Iâm from Texas and Hillary Clinton is not a big fan of my state either. We donât need more politicians from Washington looking down on us like fly-over country. Weâve had seven years of a President who looks down on the American people. Hillary Clinton thinks weâre just a bunch ignorant rubes and we need to be governed by what she deems as moral and philosophical.â

Alabama
After Shelby, Alabama Republicans drew a new legislative apportionment map of the state that some contend is illegal. Democrats said that the new map packs African-American voters into too few voting districts and is an effort to hamper the power of the largely Democratic voting base.
In 2014, the Supreme Court said it would hear appeals from the Alabama Legislative Black Caucus regarding the redistricting

Texas
While its voter ID law was passed in 2011, Texas did not enact the law until 2013 after the Shelby ruling, when the state was no longer subject to federal preclearance for changes to its voting laws. Under the law, Texas voters must show a photo ID to vote. While there are some exemptions, such as for voters with disabilities, most are required to produce a Texas driverâs license or state ID card. Other forms of acceptable ID include concealed handgun licenses, military ID, U.S. citizenship papers with photo and a U.S. passport.
Critics of the law charge that it is unconstitutional. They also say that it will bar legitimate voters from voting and discourage citizens. Examples of problems under the new law involved public figures: Texas judge, Sandra Watts, was unable to vote because the name on her photo ID did not match the name on the voter rolls. Also, State Senator Wendy Davis and Attorney General Greg Abbott had trouble voting under the new law until they obtained affidavits attesting to who they were.
âThank youâ John Roberts.
Typical for Texas. A gun permit is accepted, but a university ID isnât.
Great stuff.
âYou keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.â - Inigo Montoya
I have to say this: There are a few TPMers who are not prone to cussing on a regular basis, you being one of them, but this campaign season has turned us ordinarily mild people into enraged creatures, willing to say anything because THEY MAKE US DO IT.
Very much needed info.
Thatâs the part that enrages me. Itâs so fucking blatant, but yet they have the audacity to blame it on âvoter fraudâ!
haha! I do apologize for my filthy mouth. I would blame it on my upbringing in New Jersey where cussing is an art form and its own form of communication, but that would be a cop out. Itâs meâŚI enjoy it. Itâs reason number 10485 why I would make an awful politician. I would simply call Cruz a giant asshole if someone held a mic in front of my face, asking me to respond to this statement.
This is Karl Roveâs gift to the GOP propaganda machine. Always attack your enemy where YOU are weakest.
Weak on defense issues? MY OPPONENT IS A COWARD! Racist? MY OPPONENT IS THE REAL BIGOT! Want to cut Social Security? MY OPPONENT WANTS TO KILL YOUR GRANDMA!!
Whenever Democrats are left with saying âNo Iâm not, he is!â, weâve lost the talking point for the week, no matter how true the statement is.
Sorry about that.
But your point is well-taken. If this sort of thing is S.O.P. months out of the GOP primaries and almost a year from the General, then how will the Money-Hype people devolve us even further?
Once againâŚnasty little man tries to deflect with slight-of-hand â
Everybody sees it â
I was brung up in New Yawk! I know from cussing, and thatâs why Goodfellas is at the top of my favorite films list.
I donât want anyone at any time to ever apologize for going into cussing minefields. Itâs cathartic, similar to matzo ball soup for the soul.
My Christmas present to myself is German lessons. The German language has such good cuss words.
