Oh Ted, your name will go down in Who was he?
Jesus. It’s too hard to compose a comment when I’m writhing with laughter. This. Is. Something. Special!
Ted bit off a bigger bite than his mouth could chew.
He trumped a mouthful he won’t be able to choke back up.
What — Now he wants credit for shit he didn’t get done ? ? — Fucking amazing —
I didn’t realize mitchie mcturtle was running!
You know, the only thing I’m trying to figure out tonight, as my TV goes in and out while watching Faux, is who do I find the most despicable among the entire bunch of fuckwads up on that stage. Honestly, I can’t decide. I find all of them so objectionable. I see them all as a bunch of angry entitled pricks, most of them corrupt to the core, full of delusional thinking, trying to sell lies and bullshit so they can get ahead. Not a one of them gives a real shit about this country. Scary.
The moderators want desperately to take down tRump but though he’s a clown, he’s really not the worst of the bunch…probably because he and Carson will never be true contenders. Cruz, Christie, Huckabee, Walker, Paul, Kasich, Rubio, and Bush…these are the fuckers that should never get anywhere near 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
You know, for the life of me, I don’t really get what Cruz’s end game is. Does he want to get reelcted at all? Is he looking to the Governor’s mansion in TX after this? What, exactly, is he angling for after his Presidential aspirations GO DOWN IN FLAMES
I was highly entertained throughout!
But Cruz actually did well with the people he wanted to do well with. He was sharp, fiery, and full of BS. That’s exactly what they wanted to hear. Combine that with a few that were on the fence leaning towards Trump…and Trump refusing to say he wouldn’t run 3rd party, and I’ll bet Cruz gets a bit of bounce.
Walker did well, too…by the same basis. He didn’t fumble or look flat, and he presented himself perfectly as “hey, if you don’t like something about any of these other guys…I am your guy”. And I think he succeeded in that. Not sure he will get a bump, but he won’t see a dip, either.
Christie beat up on Paul…didn’t go as he expected entirely, but he accomplished what he intended. Paul is a dead man walking at this point…his Israel answer killed him tonight. Likewise I think that Carson might get some sympathy, but he clearly isn’t ready to be on this stage. He dips noticeably, because he is polling too high anyway, so has votes to lose.
Huckabee held his own, he might even see slight bump up. I thought he would go after Trump on abortion, but once Kelly went there, he left it alone. Probably a smart tactical move on his part.
Bush didn’t hurt himself, but he didn’t help himself either. He basically just confirmed biases people have for him either way. If they didn’t like him, they still don’t. If they did, they still do.
Rubio was able to keep the softballs aimed at him in the field of play. He will receive good reviews, but really didn’t do or say anything terribly impressive.
Kasich looked better then he did because he had a definite home field advantage. Do this debate anywhere else, and Kasich looks pretty flat. Plus the fact checkers are going to have a field day with him (the entire debate actually…but he kept repeating some really big whoppers).
And I suspect Trump is going to be the big loser in terms of polling from tonight. He killed himself coming out of the gate, in a question that I am pretty sure Preibus put in there, concerning not running a 3rd party candidacy. Trumps refusal was NOT well received…by the audience or the mediators. And then his little veiled slam at Kelly did not go over well either. I was wrong, I thought he would play it close and mellow a bit. He went over the top on the wrong questions/issues and probably turned a few off. Sure, the “stick a middle finger up at everyone” crowd will still swoon…but I suspect a few of them are going to start getting more serious now and start looking elsewhere.
Someone’s gotta win and that is what each of these guys is banking on.
Cruz, Rubio, Paul, Carson and now Christie are major sell outs. Kasich, Walker and Bush may actually have a little policy to them so they are just regular sell outs.
There is not a genuine one in the group, so Trump lives.
Coincidentally, new office arrangements were just announced overnight in the US Senate.
It appears that Mr. Cruz will be occupying a beautiful stall in the 4th-floor men’s room.
Kasich scares me. He is likeable, moderate, and in well liked in his own state, which happens to be a swing state. Independent voters tend to be middle of the road politically. If he gains steam, we could be in for afight. I hope I’m wrong.
