Dear Mr. Draper,

Screw you and your GOP California-diluting initiative.

Right. I can just see Congress saying, “Of course we’d love to have 10 new senators from the west coast!” In all fairness, that green spot on the CA map likely has more folks than several small eastern states, but still.

Will it rain in any of them?

Oh, they’d love the Red, Orange, and Blue state, because those would each be 2 more GOTea senators.

But not those other states where all the people are.

The GOTea loves the Wyoming-ization of the Senate.

That would really f**k up the flag.

Even better question - would Eureka, Arcata, and Crescent City really want to be a part of Dumbfuckistan?

GOP redistricting on steroids.

It rained once. I was there. As a day of note, I marked it on my calendar.

Most of those new ‘states’ would be Red states - moochers and takers…

Well, 3 at least…LA wouldn’t, the central coast/silicon valley wouldn’t, But the way they have “northern california” (aka Sacramento and points east and west) setup, it could go either way.

It’s nothing but a GOP power-grab under the facade of “making government more accountable”, just like the aborted Texass-funded initiative try a few years back to con Californians into giving our electoral votes to the winners of each congressional district + 2 to the statewide winner. Yet they didn’t seem to want that in Texass.

Good for thee, not for me.

This just in! Obscenely wealthy libertarian douchnozzle’s vanity project to give Republicans more electoral votes spends fortune to get it on ballot! When asked about accusations that the whole thing is rooted in a wrong headed disregard for water issues and a misguided belief it will lower his taxes, he spewed an ink cloud of confusing business babble and jetted away at top speed.

Or are they just pissed off that without the primary system they can’t any Reprobates elected to statewide office?

Shorter Draper : Hey, let’s gerrymander the Senate!

Can we merge a bunch of midwestern states instead?

Next up, Split New York into 4 “states” so they can further “dilute” the voting power of a Democratic state.
You don’t hear any of the Reich-Wingers wanting to “break up” Texas do you? or Florida? or Georgia? No. Just Blue states need to broken along FINANCIAL boundaries so the “New Fiefdoms” of the Tea-Party can come to fruition. Gated-Community-City-States that control the unwashed-masses of serfs laboring in the fields that surround them.
This is all because they KNOW they are losing the demographic war and in a decade will be unable to elect anyone to the Presidency.
WHEN Texas goes Blue it is all over for them electorally and they know it so we have these “National Redistricting” measures pushed by ALEC to break up the traditional Democratic states.
Naked Voter Suppression on a State-wide level is all this is.
The Koch Bros. must be so proud.
