And the really big problem here? There will be essentially no way to know. He will continue to refuse to release tax returns and his businesses aren’t public. The pubic, the press, Congress…nobody will ever be able to prove that Trump is receiving money from anybody. Except for what he bills the US Government ala renting out two floors of Trump Towers to the Secret Service because he refuses to move his wife and youngest son to the White House.
The other thing to keep an eye on going forward, is how he funnels money to his administration officials. Because they will definitely be in on getting their cut of the pie.
So, Donnie? Bragging that Presidents aren’t covered by the law and don’t have conflicts didn’t poll so well? Aw, gee.
Turning over the Operation of the business will not cut it. He must divest of total Ownership.
I live right around the corner from The Gold House here in Washington NYC. The vibe is Business, not State. A couple of friends who have had audiences with the cabal there, in describing the meetings, come off as if they were at marketing confabs, not organizational planning meetings. I’m sure I bring some bias, being a hater and all. But when I walk by the building and see the 20 Trump businesses listed on the side of the entrance to the the tax dodge atrium, I can’t help it. Everything Trump does is explained by, and the result of, his raging Narcissistic Personality Syndrome. People with NPS are entitled to all that comes to them. Their sense of entitlement is bottomless. And that’s why they grift. They don’t see it as grifting. They don’t even understand the concept of grifting. Whatever they get, they get because it’s theirs. That’s what they mean when they say something is, or isn’t, fair. That’s what they think “fair” means.
They’ll say anything to anyone and do anything to others because other people aren’t real to them. The only people who are real are those they see as extensions of themselves–their kids, mostly. Everyone else is a cardboard cutout who exists solely for the purpose of giving them what they want–money, sex, pleasure, control, whatever–it’s all just more stuff they pour into the endless, empty, bottomless hole in their souls that they’re so desperately trying, and failing, to fill.
The MSM has yet to grasp this. And likely never will. And if it does, it will consider it rude and impolite and out of bounds to act on it or report it.
