Discussion for article #223047
Of course they are all in. The have nothing left. They have to.
Even of McRacist loses his primary, it’s not like his voters won’t still vote for Cochran.
Judging from the signs around here, it’ll be close. I have no idea what the actual polling looks like because near as I can tell, there’s no polling on it.
That doesn’t matter. What MATTERS is that McDaniel and the idea that government simply doesn’t work and thus no compromise is acceptable, is thrown out as useless.
It sounds backwards, but personally I’d love to see McDaniel win and Democrats run against HIM. It would really test the notion that Mississippi is a backwards state full of hopeless crackers that would vote for a kitchen table if the table said it hated ni(CLANG!) and old people and was a REPUBLICAN table.
I live here. In the general election, all the voters see is the ® after the name. Republican=White, and that’s what matters here.
How we have a Democrat for AG is something I’ll never quite figure out.
In Senate primary race after Senate primary race, the tea party had to walk away with a losing hand.
The Tea Party did get one win in Ben Sasse, but more than that they’ve won because they’ve pushed the establishment so far to the right that there’s almost no difference between the views of teabaggers and the establishment. It seems establishment really just means"the candidate least likely to say something so stupid or offensive they risk losing a perfectly winnable seat".
They have to be “electable” somehow. They damned sure aren’t going to be if they talk about what they actually will do once in office.
Former Rep. Travis Childers announced weeks ago that he was going to run for this seat, but I can’t find his campaign website. Anyone know what is happening with him?
I haven’t seen anything and I live in the state. I assume he won’t bother making any noise until after the primary.
I guarantee that whomever wins this primary will win the general.
That’s really not a surprise.
The Tea Party == The Republican Party.
So-called establishment Republicans ultimately support everything the Teabillies want: An end to the public sector, complete deregulation of business and employment, and war, war, war.
The only possible difference is, the corporate interests don’t really care whether we worship anything, what we watch on TV, and whom we get naked with.
Right, but they need to pretend to care about those things to get the trogs to vote for them.
I honesty see zero difference between the “establishment” repugs and the TEA BAGS any more. There is not a spits worth of difference.
These groups have NO moral standards whatsoever…but, should be evident by their lack of distancing from this character with his obvious racist views.
Sure there is. One uses dog whistles and the other flat out says it.
Thanks for the clarification. I’ve been wondering what the difference was between establishment and teabagger Republicans.
This teafederate will get his ass kicked too, not that it matters since these kkkonservatives are all the same.
