For some reason militant pro-Trump agitators have decided that Berkeley is the place to go to provoke fights with protesters. We’d all be better off if they stayed in Montana or Missouri instead of bringing their biker bar manners to Civic Center Park.
General round up (no Berkeley mention)
Some video clips here. (Berkeley specific)
Today I was at a tax rally in Long Beach, California. Hundreds protested at the federal building. All ages participated. A small dog had a pink pussy hat!
It lifts one’s spirits to be part of the crowd. But every day the fear of what will become of this country notches up more. Dog help us.
LATimes has it covered: lots of “outside agitators,” obviously:

I get that fear … but I take heart in the incredible response of our (sane) fellow citizens. We are proving that the Constitution is a living, breathing and vibrant document. All it took is that for us to realize and activate the real power of the Constitution, we must remember its first three words:
WE THE PEOPLE
Oh, the Twitterverse is buzzing with rumors that indictments are imminent. Some reputable folks too. There may yet be light at the end of the tunnel. Keep the faith, compatriot.
Or just take it over.
First it was a pro Trump ralley. A counter protest was organized. Some of these people were wearing black and black masks. Get your facts straight. There is no way we would want to ID with these counter protesters.
Trump, who spent the morning at his Florida golf course, avoided several
hundred protesters when his motorcade took a circuitous route back to
Mar-A-Lago, his Palm Beach, Florida, estate.
So good to read this! Donnie only understands anything when it personally inconveniences him.
Why would we expect them to give any accurate information
”Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer, of New York, has said Trump’s refusal to release his returns could hinder Republicans’ prospects for a rewrite of the tax code.”
I don’t know the arcane rules of the filibuster (which still exists for legislation), but if the Dems dug in…
And used it to prevent the GOP from even introducing their tax-scam bill…
Until Trump released the past decade of his tax returns…
That would be some major-league trolling, right there.
(And, I’m confident, a political winner with voters and the Pee-Wee Soccer League press.)
I don’t believe I said anything contradicted by your straight facts.
Meanwhile, other facts. Berkeley is my home town. LA Times coverage (cited above) indicates many of the rally attendees, speakers and “security” volunteers traveled from other cities, states, even other countries (Lauren Southern is Canadian).
In my opinion, holding a pro-Trump rally in Berkeley, much like KKK marching in Skokie IL in 1978, was a provocation meant to intimidate and/or incite local residents.

"Tax I Vader "?
Is he losing his base (those, who can’t spell ‘moron’ ) ?
I fear it is a pun too far.
