I’m sorry but this is SO much BS. They are arguing about which way will hurt MOST when they screw you. A $2000 tax credit if you’re young? You mean young, without fking insurance and a job a Starbucks that may or may not even requiring you to pay taxes so you won’t get the phony ass tax ‘credit’ that won’t keep you stocked in BANDAIDS for the year? ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? And Trump wants us all to ‘come together’?

Trump said KY Gov Matt Bevin found a wrecked healthcare system. No Bevin destroyed Kynect, the highly successful KY health insurance pool set-up by Gov. Beshear. This was the reason the cable tagged “72 year-old man”, or Gov. Beshear, gave the Dem rebuttal.
Sad how smug, East coast-fixated TV media can’t connect two dots without assistance…

Good to know that Rs are having problems, but Ds have to stay out of the weeds here, or will risk implication and a plague-on-both-their-houses response from Citizen Clueless.

It’s so simple to frame this:

  1. The ACA is the best healthcare program since Medicare. That’s why Rs are so terrified by it.

  2. However, Trump has promised to replace it with insurance for everybody that’s better and cheaper. Where is it?

There is hope here: when they start saying crazy talk like equalizing the tax treatment of employer provided health insurance and privately purchased health insurance, you just know they are too politically clueless, or ideologically trapped, to create a plan they can pass. Sure, it might somehow be “fair,” but it will certainly end up sticking it to the majority of insured, who get health insurance through their employers. And that’s a political winner? Go ahead, make my day! It’d be so fun to watch that!

The objective here is to provide an incentive for employers to drop their coverage, since the tax difference between employer and individual coverage will be less significant.

The objective her is not just to screw the individual policies on ACA, it is also to blow up the employer provided market.

I remained convinced that the real damage to the ACA will come from Tom Price. Price will hurt the ACA anyway he can from the inside. The only legislation the GPA will pass is a total repeal without a replace. There is no way a majority of these evil people will ever be tied to anything that actually helps people. With that said, inertia is a powerful force. These clowns are used to not doing anything but obstruction. They will fight among each other, not pass anything, and then change the subject.

Wait aren’t cuts & reductions to existing taxes and loop holes also “new entitlements” to the top wealth accumulators? I dont see why their so deterrent to abolish the idea of a same tax credit that would target the middle and lower class WORKERS who are struggling to make ends meet…
