Target’s experience in Canada hasn’t been unique, though. Big Lots Inc. and Best Buy Co. have shuttered stores there and Wal-Mart Stores Inc. has seen its sales in Canada weaken.

Yet another reason to admire Canada!

As a Canadian I was really looking forward to Target after seeing their stores in the States. But the Canadian stores were such a disappointment. No discounts. Little choice. Clueless staff. Empty shelves.
I can’t say I’m disappointed but I am surprised on the timing. Thought they’d try to hang on longer.
