A lot of the activism we are seeing is powered by women. I think the estimate was that 70% of the crowd attending the March for Our Lives was female. The teachers striking across multiple states are mostly women.

The Resistance appears to also be morphing into Persistence ala 'And yet, she persisted.

This year when voting, there were all those races for judges and county offices I know nothing about. For the judges, I had list of who was deemed qualified or Highly Qualified by the IL bar. So, since I knew nothing else about these people, the decision tree went: 1) Highly Qualified 2) Qualified, and then from within those categories 3) Women. I’ve never voted that way before. But it felt right this year.

This item doesn’t have a logical place to be dropped into a discussion - so I picked here. The unmasking of an influential (on the election) alt-right twittersphere who started gaining traction when hooking up with Milo in the mysogistic tormenting involved in Gamergate. While women are soaring - this dude and his movement are souring.

This is some of the best news I’ve seen in a long time!

  1. Democratic Women. Too easy for Reich-wing racist, misogynistic (yes) repug women to sneak in where the Democratic incumbent is a tired old man.

Certainly a good thing to have more women in high office in our government, but let’s not forget that simply being a woman is not a garnet tee things will get better. Example 1 (of thousands)… Betsy DeVos…

We need competent, intelligent, skilled and wise woman in office.

It was a primary ballot. All my options were dems.
