I am fking disgusted. This is NOT the country I grew up in…or one that ANY of these aholes did. I am truly sick and tired of them sucking the good out of this country and screwing those who came after.

I am shocked and dismayed.

I truly did not see it coming that they would lift the stay while hearing it.

These people are gonna crater the travel industry and healthcare in the same week. Jeebus.

Sometimes things need to get worse before they can get better. Sometimes they need to get much worse.

This is not good.

How is it not moot? The 90 days should be up.

The amount of work it’s going to take even to get us to normal by the time this Administration is done will be Herculean.

Agreed and the travel ban will affect the healthcare industry.

Doctors, healthcare professionals, medical schools, attendants, etc. After this summer, look for a large drop in the number of personnel available in these areas.

Personally, I don;t think SCOTUS will overturn the lower courts rejections but the stay in the meantime is going to prove very bad for the American economy.

EDIT TO ADD: I’m actually very interested in seeing how this will play out specifically with medical schools and hospitals. This country had a shortage of medical personnel BEFORE this foolishness. Now, I just don’t know whats gonna happen.

An unexpected plus for the GOP.

And we know this SCOTUS…

Two justices, Neil Gorsuch and Clarence Thomas, refused to sign on to a footnote explicitly stating that the court’s approval applied only to playground funding and should not be read as applying to parochial schools in general.

That’s what I thought during the Reagan years.
That’s what I thought during the George W. Bush years.
That’s what I’m thinking now.
That’s probably what I’ll be thinking when Alex Jones is President.

For some reason, a few million people in this country are just incapable of “getting it.”

They will vote 5-4 in favor of the “persecuted” baker…

True, because this country is no longer a safe place for the heavily armed 70% of the population who call themselves “Christian.”

Personally, I think they a few million people in this country DO get it.

They actively want to burn this country down (and I mean that actually) and destroy it because they think they will be ascendant.

Absolutely. The next Democratic administration will be so focused on undoing the damage that the progressive stuff we really want to see happen will have to take a backseat to undoing the damage. Once they’ve righted the ship, the far left will start screaming about all the progressive stuff that didn’t happen, and they’ll do their damnedest to help elect someone even worse than Trump. Rinse. Repeat.

Sometimes things need to get worse before they can just actually be worse.

I don’t buy that “accentuate the distinctions” bullshit, sorry. Real people are affected by this, and even if it were turned around next year a great amount of damage will have been done and the damage will be ongoing for years. Arson is easier than building a house.

The 90 days are up in September, before the SC reconvenes. This whole charade was supposed to give the administration 90 days to put together an improved vetting system because the threat of terrorism was so immediately dire.

Who is in charge of this new vetting system? Jarad? Could we maybe see the draft of it? No? Why?

Because it DOSN’T EXIST! Because it was never the point in the first place.

Since the SC has already made up their minds how they will “decide” this case, why don’t they just say so? This system is totally fucked up.
