Discussion: Support For Ted Cruz Collapses In New Hampshire Poll

Discussion for article #245617

The Suffolk/Boston Globe poll was carried out by live telephone
interview from Feb. 3-4. Pollsters surveyed 500 likely Democratic voters
with a margin of error of 4.4 percentage points.

OMFG Rubio is SURGING!!!1!!!1!

Wait, what? Democratic voters?

Doesn’t mean a thing. Just you wait until Carson shows up in clean clothes!

It looks like the shrill Christian vote that carried the day in Iowa for Cruz don’t mean anything in NH. There’s also the difference between a real election like they have in NH, and the fun activist gathering that passes for politics in IA. Bush’s mama doesn’t seem to be doing much for him, either. Give it up, it isn’t the birthright you thought it was.

Cruz: I am not surprised as New Hampshire values are closely aligned with New York values. Both states are morally bankrupt. I rather not win those states anyway.

Seems to me that outside of IA and the Deep South, the fundie nutjob appeal pretty much vanishes and all you get is, as Ralph just said, smarm

Pun intended, I hope.

Rafael Cruz can fix this. He’ll just have his team call likely New Hampshire voters and inform them that Trump is dropping out.

What’s amazing is that his support is falling… Maybe Iowa gave NH Republicans their first good look at Cruz? Overall, I’d say this poll shows an electorate that still has no clear idea of how it’s going to vote. It should be fun to watch.

he started running a lot of commercials here in NH where he speaks directly to the camera…

that’ll do it!

The asshole vote moved from Cruz to Trump and not to establishment shill Rubio. Whowoudathunk?

Cruz: I am not worried, we all know that Rubio will be dropping out couple of days before the election. Most/all his votes come my way and I will win in NH as well, just like IA. As a precaution, I am circling Kasich as a drop out as well.

The front page headline “Cruz Collapsing, Rubes Surging, Donald On Top” sounds like a scene from a gay porn flick.

Cruz’ drop in popularity may be about spreading the false word that Carson would be dropping out. It was a shitbag move. Nobody loves a shitbag.

Apparently enough Texas voters did…but then again, it IS Texas…

Look for Cruz to get nasty if this continues. I expect the Rube to fall on his own sword, after saying something very stupid. Jeb! is going to try to ride this one out in hopes of being the last man standing.

It’s the NYT endorsement that’s gonna sink him. He’s at 1% chance of winning the nomination.

Meanwhile, Gov. 3rd-out-of-3-Govs-in-Iowa is…3rd out of 3 Govs in NH.

I’m gonna have to start calling you Governor Consistency!

(Or maybe something else a little less flattering but more accurate…)

According to the data you show, Cruz is holding steady, slightly up in the percentage of rubes polling for him. Carson and Christie (!) have tanked. Maybe their rubes went for Rubio?
