Discussion: Super Tuesday Was Another Night For Trump Domination

Discussion for article #246734

There are never winners when Trump is involved. He may make it easier for Democrats to win in November, but every day he gets attention, is a sad day for this country. We should all be embarrased.

I wonder what could happen when President Trump sits down to meet with Putin and, speaking through an interpreter, gets stuck with a lousy earpiece.

Ah cheer up - he is embarrassing the Republicans. I don’t know of any reason the Democrats should be at all embarrassed.

Hear! Hear!

this is a circus! what is the story? TRUMP FAILS TO SWEEP? … RUBIO PROVES TRUMP WRONG BY WINNING ONE ? - or should we focus on how Christie looks like a hostage

Trump is probably their best candidate. I mean, Kasich is the only one capable at all of doing the job, but he’s nowhere in the race. Trump is, at minimum, not worse than Cruz or Rubio. And he’s absolutely horrifying.

The Rump, Carnival Cruz and Fish Taco are individually and collectively a far bigger threat to the typical person’s well being than every illegal immigrant, combined. It’s not even close. Every Republican debate seriously makes me think of the late Senator Wellstone, and cry out to God, how could you let this happen? Why not one of these guys instead?

This is positively Orwellian:

Trump claims he’s a unifier.

Rubio insists he’s doing great by closing the gap while finishing mostly third.

Cruz, a Senator, accuses Trump -who has never held an elected position - of Washington corruption.

This is why I never listen to Republican politicians. It makes me question my sanity.

This describes what we’re all feeling.

I hope our anti-terrorism measures are operating at full-tilt. I regret to say that if you want to bring to fruition the great millennialist conflict that Islamist whack-jobs have been so assiduously trying to foment, Drumpf is the answer to your twisted prayers. Hillary will crush him in the general - but one incident could change everything. After the Iraq travesty, I will never again underestimate the American people’s susceptibility to fear-mongering and being led, enthusiastic and senseless, over the cliff.

We should be embarrassed, even us Dems. We click on every article with Trumps disgusting mug on it, rail about what a vile creature he is and revel in the potential fall of the GOP all the while he laps up the attention and spits it back out in the form of more racism and hate. I don’t necessarily think ignoring him would make him go away, but it would help. He’s a known quantity, it’s time to stop measuring him and pretending to be ever more outraged. The media won’t stop feeding him until we do. And we’re guilty too because it’s up to us to convince those that do follow him just how wrong he is.

How?
If you know, the Clinton campaign might hire you.

This is Josh Marshall’s site. Surely, Cruz is the Real Winner here.

Sorry, no, fuck that. Like any bunch of addicts, these people need to hit rock bottom.

I hope it’s Trump, but I bet it ain’t. They have yet to find a level beyond which they can’t sink lower.

So, since the kumbaya we-need-a-good-opposition-party losers have been proven wrong over and over about how we "need’ the Republicans…it’s time to let them die already.

I think Cruz would be easier to beat in November. He is a weird and rabid xtian ideologue without a constituency outside of Jesusland. Trump appeals to low-income and low-information voters who would never come out to vote for Cruz.

Hope so, but not at all confident… Dems will need to really work for it to beat back all the raging yahoos.

True, but Trump will find underlings to do the work if he is elected. Reagan, the “amiable dunce” did this. I’m just mighty glad the Jeb is out – now, that was a piece of work! BTW, I don’t think Trump believes what he says, not any of it. He’s just a carnival hustler with a very excited crowd of idiots. Former Democrat, pro-choice, genuinely wants good universal health care. Therefore Republican establishment really hates him. Maybe I’ll be surpised, but I don’t worry about him.

But Cruz is a cameleon. And very, very dangerous – power hungry and ruthless. I would not underestimate him and I hope he gets no where near the nomination. I think he could push the button.

oh, he’ll unify us.
