Do you know who plays into the hands of the terrorists–cable news. That is all they have talked about since the attack. That is exactly what the terrorists want them to do.

I’m surprised there haven’t already been more attacks at airports outside the security screening. Consider: you’ve got a huge line of people densely packed in, at a bottleneck point for a piece of crucial transportation infrastructure. If someone blew up a bomb in the screening line at O’Hare, it could both kill 200 people and jam up flights for weeks.

The level of coordination seen in the attack is frightening. I visited Turkey in May - it’s a beutiful conuntry, with lovely people and some fascinating archaeological sites. Such a pity.

Turkey, like Pakistan, patronize certain terrorist groups (ISIS, Taliban), while hammering others: this kind of dualistic policy obviously does not work. Both Countries “play with fire” and they get burnt, time and time again. The only ones who suffer are the hoi polloi.

Way OT but still has to do with violent deaths…

According to the article, the shooter had been denied a gun permit, but used her grandfather’s weapon to kill her daughters.

I found this interesting. I also found interesting the fact that the Orlando terrorist has been shown to not be a self loathing gay. Haven’t heard too much out of the media about that though, once the gay factor got spread all around. Funny what the media runs with and what they don’t.

"After the July 7, 2005, London subway bombing by Muslim terrorists that killed 52 people, the British MI5 undertook its own highly sophisticated study, examining hundreds of cases. But the UK’s security agency discovered that terrorists are a wildly diverse lot. They worshipped at a variety of different mosques, for example.

Some terrorists were very religious Muslims and some barely practicing. Most were men, but some were women. There were young and old terrorists, highly educated as well as uneducated, some loners and some married with children.

So, according to MI5, the predictive power of every factor is very low — other than: Is a Muslim."

It seems to me that wanton terrorist acts by wahabbi sunni jihadi groups against innocent civilians generally increases during the month of ramadan? Indeed the wahabbi sunni jihadis from Saudi Arabia appear to have started off ramadan with an air strike massacre of innocent women, men and children in Yemen.

Is there any evidence that this perception is true? If so, is there a psychosocial or religious reason for the spike in violence? Anybody know?

My understanding is that the vast majority of terrrorist acts are committed by individuals practicing or connected to the barbaric wahabbi sunni cult of islam and that attend mosques whose mullahs receive training and money from the Saudis.
