They have to keep the shills on point. If they didn’t constantly reinforce their narrative, viewers might realize it’s all lies. Studies that show FOX viewers know less than non-viewers about world affairs are the confirmation that this constant lying works for them.

I suppose Benghazi will be their lead on 31 October because inciting the old people who watch Fox the most keeps Fox going. For some reason old white rich people can’t get enough of Benghazi. It is like Thanksgiving, Christmas and the 4th of July all wrapped up in one package.

It’s even worse than that. Viewers of FoxNews routinely score less than 50% on objective true/false tests about current affairs. So, they’re not just ill-informed - they’re positively mis-informed. A tossed coin has a better chance of getting the facts right.

I’m not surprised they have mentioned Benghazi that many times. When you have 24/7 of “news” coverage and only consider putting on the air things that are anti-Obama, you run out of material quickly, especially since there is nothing positive the GOP is doing that they can report on.
