There is more than a whiff of racism in this decision—these children are from a nation 2600 miles away from the Ebola outbreak, but they’re blah people from Africa (which just has to be one big country in the so-called minds of the RWNJs who made this decision) so they must be dangerous.
This school system needs to be publicly reprimanded for ginning up hysteria and for the harm it has done to thse poor kids.

The current level of IGNORANCE, STUPIDITY, and FEAR is unbelievable in what is supposedly a Modern, Industrial, Egalitarian, Technologically-savvy country.
Why has this happened?: FEAR SELLS (and sells very well)
Every single News (and I use the term loosely) organization is now gorging at the money-trough of ad-revenue generated by the EBOLA SCARE. The old newspaper axiom: “If it Bleeds it Leads” has never been more apt.
Led by the master-fear-mongers at FOX News the MSM has abased itself to outright greed in it’s endless pursuit of higher and higher ratings (which translate directly into profits.)
“FACTS? We don’t need no stinking FACTS!!!” they don’t sell deodorant and pickup trucks.
ONE person died from EBOLA (that they contracted overseas) and ALL 43 of the people he was in close contact with have now been cleared as they are beyond the incubation period. Only the two nurses (forced to work on a very sick patient with inadequate training, facilities, and protective gear) are now sick.
53,000 Americans will die from INFLUENZA this year, but nobody is scared of “The Flu” because it doesn’t have a SCARY AFRICAN NAME and nobody can make money off of it or score cheap political points with it.
It’s all just disgusting in its perfect storm of Greed and Stupidity.
Weep for what was once a proud, brave country and the sniveling, intentionally ignorant, sensationalism-obsessed, and cowardly moron she has become.
Hey, I just noticed: I have described Sarah Palin (and Joni Ernst, et. al.) perfectly…“sniveling, intentionally ignorant, sensationalism-obsessed, and cowardly moron”.

Here is what some idiot on Fox is probably going to say about this story.
“You can’t be too safe. George Will says the jury is out on whether Ebola is airborne. If it is, the Ebola could easily have waffed 2600 miles to infect these two children.”
Anybody got a map they can borrow? And some fucking brains?

Dig a moat around your palace
To keep out anyone from Dallas

Throw their clothes in a volcano.
And, at least for the duration,
Keep them under observation

Too late now, but the fearful, “concerned parents” should have removed their kids from school, if it is that important to them.
What a fucking embarassment. Kigali is further away from Monrovia than Los Angeles is from New York City.
So, are they keeping all the visitors and new arrivals from Texas out, too?
Or maybe they are being smart and blocking anyone from west of the Mississippi?
