Here’s Trump’s specially talented teacher with a gun.

Good thing nobody was hurt.

neg¡li¡gence

noun
failure to take proper care in doing something.
“some of these accidents are due to negligence”

LAW
failure to use reasonable care, resulting in damage or injury to another.

IANAL but it seems like more than an “accident” to me.

Let me get this straight. A reserve police officer teaches a class on ‘public safety’, is giving a ‘gun safety’ demonstration, and accidentally shoots the ceiling, and a student gets hurt from a ricocheting bullet fragment that strikes the student in the neck.

Gee, good thing he wasn’t giving an AR15 safety demonstration. And how does a good guy with a gun fit into saving the injured kid in this scenario?

Not quite. One of the students wound up with bullet fragments lodged in his neck, requiring medical treatment AFTER he got home from school. :-/

The guy was an obvious plant

That has to go down really well with his parents.

If that guy didn’t pass the “3 foot putt” test, he doesn’t count. He doesn’t have “it”.

What happens to teachers who don’t honor the no weapons policy on school grounds?

It is not an accidental discharge.
It was a negligent discharge - as in “gun handler was negligent in handling or preparing the firearm, which caused the discharge.”

One way to guarantee college costs will be covered play with a fucking gun and have a student injured.

Probably not but it should go down well with the attorney they hire…

Guns have no business in schools. Period. It is insane we actually have to say things like this.

A hypothetical question for an assault rifle owner:

Would you give up your assault rifle if it meant that all the children who died in that school shooting could still be alive?

Just remember, visitors to the NRA’s headquarters are not allowed to carry weapons on the premises.

If gun-free zones are so dangerous, why does the NRA enforce one on its home turf?

Nobody could have predicted something like this would happen. Maybe if there were more guns there would be less gun violence. Everything is fine. la la la.

Welcome to the USA, where my right to own a gun is more important than your right to life.

My industrial arts teacher demonstrated precisely why you should never directly inhale the fumes of any liquid in a can that’s laying around the shop. He said, “Never do this,” and proceeded to stick his nose down in a coffee can full of turpentine. He took a big whiff, and promptly passed out. Fortunately, no students were harmed in that demonstration of stupid behaviors. Good thing he didn’t put a gun in his mouth and say, “Never do this.” Some teachers just aren’t very smart.
