The reality is, 60 minutes could run an entire piece on just the comments and actions he has made towards/regarding Ivanka. John Oliver could make it a main piece. Samantha Be could dedicate an entire show. But they don’t. For precisely the same reason, and it ends up with the same impact.
But there are literally dozens, if not hundreds of examples of his disgustingness, criminality, lack of ethics that could be covered in the same way. Those are just not done because there is simply too much to keep up with. And her emails of course.

#2, based just on what we know for sure, it’s likely a felony campaign finance violation almost any way it went down (for Cohen if not for Trump). Either it was an undisclosed and illegal donation by Cohen if he wasn’t reimbursed, or an improper use of campaign funds by Trump if he was.
That said, Cohen essentially admitting this in his press statement indicates that they’re actually ignorant of the law, and focused mainly on #1 (or possibly other layers that we’re not aware of).
