Pretty sure Donald had a tweet about pleading the Fifth a long time ago ?

Stone Pleads The Fifth To Avoid Testimony Before Sen Judiciary Committee

He’s not simply citing the privilege.

He has an underlying argument that should have been mentioned.

He says the committee’s “requests” are “overbroad”:

The requests, as previously stated to staff, are far too overbroad, far too overreaching, far too wide ranging both in their all-embracing list of persons to whom the request could relate with whom Mr. Stone has communicated over the past three years, and the “documents concerning” imprecision of the requests.

And unnecessary:

In the coming weeks, the House Intelligence Committee is intending to make public the transcripts of the testimony it has taken. Presumably that will include Mr. Stone’s testimony and you will soon see that he directly and fully answered all of the questions posed to him.

And he’s also using Comey’s argument:

Previously Mr. Stone requested that if any testimony were to be given by Mr. Stone, it be held in public session. The decision by the House Intelligence Committee to proceed in private lent itself to a number of inaccurate leaks and speculation which disserved both my client and the public interest. Mr. Stone decries secrecy. He will not subject himself to the innuendo of non-public proceedings. Nor will he confirm the existence of, or produce the documents of the request, for the purpose of being used in secret proceedings.

Fifty years of pure evil in the body politic of our country. This guy and his party have always believed that being a “dirty trickster” should’ve made him a fucking national hero. Instead, he should have been indicted decades ago. I’m just glad the chickens have finally come home to roost.

Stone, Manafort and Atwater invented the damn swamp we have today. Its their only lasting legacy. His comeuppance can’t come soon enough.

Once the indictment is unsealed …

double breasted vest, watch chain and wing collar - ok, he does know how to dress. However, I question the salmon-pink silk pocket square.
a lady or gentleman’s handkerchief is made of cotton, and although Jeeves disapproved of monograms, I think they are allowable - that’s the bougie in me

Really, now. Must we forget how a gentleman should comport himself and remain silent as Stone ogles everything about him with those ghastly spectacles? A man of good breeding will direct his attention only to those things that call for it, and a convenient quizzing glass will serve for those occasions.

more properly, Mr. Tilley sports a monocle, a quizzing glass has a small 2 inch handle, and I wish they’d make a comeback

We are at an impasse.

The monocle is held in the eye socket, the quizzing glass is held up in front of the eye. Advantage quizzing glass.

The monocle has no handle, the quizzing glass has some form of handle protruding from the frame. Advantage monocle.

Only TGOET can settle this matter, unless you prefer a virtual duel at 30 minutes past sunrise tomorrow morning.

And we see that Eustace is holding a monocle. We’re agreeing with each other. No dueling necessary.

But you can see from the rigidly precise, yet stylish, pose of ET’s fingers and hand that he made a practice of holding the lens rather than wearing it.

I’m afraid we may be looking at a manocle, and we will both need to shoot ourselves at 30 minutes after dawn tomorrow.

As this is not a duel, we both get to select our own weapons. I’ve not yet decided whether to use a fully loaded cereal spoon or a multi-tined weapon loaded with egg.

I challenge you to tightlacing your corset to 24 inches or less at dawn.
