What has become readily apparent is that, for Trump, “not being treated fairly” means being denied the Republican nomination. In other words, “heads I win, tails you lose.”

There’s no “probably” to it, Stone. The Democrats would mollywhop both Trump and the Republicans, but I do think he might be right that Trump would beat the Republican in the race, particularly if it’s Jeb! or someone equally as boring.

I called this one the day after it supposedly went down. But you have to hand it to them on the strategy…fake leave/fake fire (keep that up in the air cause it will make the next part pop even bigger) the campaign, so everyone will beat a path to interview you, then wax on about how terrific Trump is a person AND a candidate. Total credibility because you left/were fired. The media will be flummoxed!!

I really don’t think we need to speak in the hypothetical about this. I saw his interview on CNN the day after the quitting/firing. It was perfectly clear what he was doing then. This only underlines it and put an exclamation point at the end.
And you are absolutely right. This is completely up Stone’s ally.
As a side note, you’ve been kind of quiet here lately. Hope everything is alright?

Folks…that is Rodger Stone. The guy is the worst of the worst. He makes Lee Atwater look like a Saint and Karl Rove look like a altruist. . Anyone quoting him is either a fool or a con artist. If it was a three way race, Hillary, Trump and take-your-pick-of-whats-left, in terms of the Electoral College, which is how we actually elect Presidents, Hillary would win in a huge landslide…probably the biggest win in our lifetimes. The GOP would definitely come in a distant second, and its extremely debatable that Trump would garner a single vote.
Because, with the exception of NE and ME, the EC works on a winner take all basis. It doesn’t matter if Trump got 20, 30 or even 40 percent of the vote anywhere…he would finish second or third in every state behind Hillary or the GOP nominee. The stronger he is in any given state, which will always be “red” states, the more likely it is that Hillary wins that state
Take a place like Georgia, and assume Trump is doing really well. Romney received 53% of the vote in 2012. Trump now splits that 2 ways with “GOP candidate”, each getting 26.5%, while Hillary wins with 45%(Obama’s number), and promptly claims 16 EVs.
Even REALLY red states like Wyoming would be in jeopardy. Romney won 68-28. Split that now, and you have a 34-34-28…that’s within striking distance for Hillary.
