Or with Roger Stone…

I’m going to go with all dumb, if it’s OK.

I’m with you.

Most criminals I’ve known have been idiots. I don’t think Roger is quite the idiot some I’ve known were but smart he is not.

I do but jest, cornily. We know perfectly well that much of Texas is changing color. Still, a Texas newspaper calling for impeachment, that’s a biggie. They didn’t have to use the word, they could say the situation “warrants the most serious investigation” and so forth, but they did. The WaPo just had a scathing thing saying he simply lacks the ability to lead. And so it goes…

I know - I was teasing y’all.

It’s the editor’s editorial and basically it lays out the case and says that politics should not be part of the equation, that “as more indictments are handed up Democrats and Republicans alike should have the strength to follow the truth wherever it might lead.”

Hey Roger! The only thing worse than people throwing you in jail for the rest of your miserable life is people NOT throwing you in jail for the rest of your miserable life.

I think this is misleading. Just listened to the interview.

I was going to say pardon fishing

That’s what the Stone bust does…

This Dallas News story, along with cracks in the GOP 2020 Candidacy dynamic.

The name “Stone” and the word “innocent” have an inverse relationship.

There isn’t any way to parse, play, or predict a mercurial inveterate criminal like Stone. You just play it very straight if you’re Mueller: collect all the available evidential hardware, mow him down in court, lock him up for years. Old school criminal justice. If he offers to squeal, you don’t negotiate, you don’t throw him a bone. You wait for him to come crawling on his hands and knees. They tried being reasonable with Manafort, it didn’t work. You throw the book at them and then see where the pieces fall.

It’s “bear false witness,” not “bare.” Come on, Josh.

Why don’t you want to go to jail Roger? Threesomes, er, swinging, are permitted in prison. Well, illicit swinging. But isn’t “illicit” your middle name? So turn some dirty tricks.

Correct. The “bare-” face liar Stone only bears false witness.

I think this particular false witness is bare more often than most, in ways you don’t want to know about.

Stone’s already cooperating with Mueller. I mean, he showed up for his arrest, didn’t he?

Stone may be less reliable than Trump, which is really saying something.

“Roger Stone Leaves Open Question On Cooperating With Mueller”

Dont you worry about that Rog,You are done.

“Unfortunately for Stone, Zeidenberg says that the government has a mountain of documents it can use to make its case. His indictment set forth in great detail the massive amount of email and text evidence that supports the charges against him. These documents can only be interpreted one way: Stone is guilty.”

is that why you call him the “grin reaper”?

Yet I do not see him being thought guilty as having much practical effect on how the GOP are playing this out. Pence is nearly as guilty and they will never let him even stand trial.

And Mueller isn’t going to accept a cooperation offer from some asshole who disagree’s with the special counsel’s definition of “inconsequential.”
