Discussion: Stone Demands Hearing On Conspiracy Theory Mueller Tipped Off CNN About Arrest

First of all “requesting” is far from “demanding.” Secondly, I sure hope his request is from the same judge handling his case, the same one who jailed Manafort. If so, hopefully this will hasten his trip to pre-trial detention.

At some point really soon, Judge Jackson, will tell Stone to STFU. And she will not tell him nicely, he will make his bail contingent on his having no contact with the media and making no public or private statements about the case before him.

P.s. she is already considering one. https://www.cnn.com/2019/02/01/politics/roger-stone-gag-order/index.html Stone is not helping himself here. He is facing 20 years in jail, and Jackson will put him there. And no way that Trump will lift a finger (which he knows would get chopped off) and helps him.

Well as they say, 'You can demand in one hand, **** in the other, and see which one fills up faster…"

Oh for Christ’s sake. WhoTF is HE to ‘demand’ anything? C’mon. ‘Tipping people off’ is his stock in trade so even if someone DID do it (which I don’t believe) what goes around comes around Rog…

Roger Stone requested Wednesday that a judge hold a hearing on the conspiracy theory that CNN was tipped off about his arrest before it happened last month.

Roger’s doing what Trump has done, which is trying to make the case a public spectacle specifically aimed at the base. The same rubes he’s hitting up for money through Gingrich’s mailing list might be impressed by this. I expect the Judge to issue a gag order soon.

This is so lame. If I can figure it out the night before at a Mexican restaurant, drinking a margarita and reading Twitter, I think professional journalists can probably figure it out too. Hell, we ALL knew.

He and his buds have been squawking for months about his upcoming arrest. Why wouldn’t CNN have somebody scoping it out?

jesus - it’s what journalists do. They cultivate sources and get tips. There was no secret about your arrest dumbass.

Exactly. This is more “look at me” from publicity hound Stone. The news is filled with smoke and mirrors stories right now. Will he wont’ he sign the shutdown legislation. The faked uproar over Ms. Omars statement and now this. Stone and Manafort will die in prison, their dear friend Trump will have forgotten he ever knew them. Get on with it, Mueller. Give us some meat.

I figure it’s only a few more days before Stone brings up the faking of the moon landing in '69, too.

Oh, and OT but so tasty: Megan Kelly - you know, the future 2019 Nobel Peace Prize winner for her civil rights work - took on comedian Sarah Silverman. Yeah, it went about as expected:

Oh, and OT but Double Fun!!! Wife of White House Propaganda Chief Bill Shine, Darla Shine (that’s a porn name if I ever heard one!) goes batshit freaking crazy Tweeting AGAINST vaccinations. You can almost hear the Prozac wearing off.
“Bring back our childhood diseases!”, she valiantly cries:

For months Stone had told anyone who would listen that he expected to be indicted. There was an unusual Mueller grand jury meeting the day before. CNN would have been stupid not to post a crew outside Stones house the next morning.

Probably there was CNN crew outside Don Junior’s home the same day, disappointed that they wasted their time.

I’m filing this in my new file called “this would be funny if it weren’t real”.
When I say new, really I’m saying since the beginning of this administration. But make no mistake, this file is getting REALLY THICK. :flushed:

Stone himself predicted he was going to get indicted and it’s not surprising that reporters whose lifeblood is sniffing out stories figured it out. That said, what possible bearing could the presence of a TV crew have on the facts in the case and how is it that a contempt violation is even in play?

Nota bene: If you think you're going to get indicted and a TV crew shows up on your porch, it may be a good time to take a moment for a little personal reappraisal.

I can’t believe there’s really people like this in our society. Where did we go wrong? I know, I know, that’s a big question and we could fill volumes with answers to it. But you know what I mean…SMH…

Maybe he WANTS a gag order. Honestly, it would be from the Trump playbook. You know, do something stupid–just because ???

ETA: others have said it–and I agree-- this guy just likes attention. This is one of the few times he’s going to get to be on TV before he goes to jail for the rest of his life.
