Discussion: Stone Claims That His Indictment Is Part Of ‘War On Alternative Media'

Yep, built overlooking the site of the Bowling Green Massacre…

That question requires us to entertain the possibility that Tuck is always constipated. A notion that appeals to me, actually. I also hope he has an unhealthy amount of acid reflux to go with it.

And why not the occasional bout of “explosive decompression” whenever his laxatives kick in…? Just for additional kicks 'n giggles.

The Schadenfreude is poised and ready…

Since Stone has been waging a war on honesty his entire adult life, he ought not to be surprised when regular people fight back.

I still think he’s a pretty dim bulb. He may think he’s on to something, but I’m not sure he actually understands it.

The day Tucker Carlson votes for Elizabeth Warren, I’ll eat my cat… meaning, I think that’s pretty unlikely. If anything he’s trying to be the guy on the right that picks Trump’s next “best” opponent. It’s more likely he thinks if everyone aims for EW to be the Dem candidate, it’s an easy win for Trump.

Where does the Overton Window sit today? I think the momentum is on the Dem/Progressive side of things right now. That’s still trending too, so 2020 could be a genuine disaster for the GOP and Trump. I’d love to wake up on November 4th, 2020 with the Senate AND White House also flipped.

I’m not sure the GOP could ever win it back after that… not with the way things have been headed the past few years.

I think Tucker Carlton is an idiot and in the words of Jon Stewart, a dick. I think his saying that is funny on the one hand, and illustrative on the other.

Ann Coulter started spouting Populist shit last night on Bill Maher. Now Tucker is making like a champion of the working man.

That’s where the ratwing is headed - Populism.

You know they’re in trouble when that’s all they have left…

Makes me happy though! haha…

ETA: I haven’t seen the Real Time episode yet. Not sure I could sit through more than a minute of hearing her speak at all. She’s so toxic, why spoil a perfectly good day listening to anything the Wicked Witch of the Right has to say…?

There’s no point, there was no real point to his having her on. The panel was decent - Dan Savage was on it and I love him. And the ex-Ambassador to Russia was the last guest and he was quite interesting as well.

Those are the kinds of guests he has that I most appreciate. The ones that provide genuine insight, and not just fluffing up the airtime with their ideological static…

Yup. Saw a Fox News piece this morning (yes, that Fox News!) explaining a poll that show the majority of people would rather tax the rich more than cut government services (Heretic! Blasphemy! Horror!)

My feeling is that they guess that the gig is up and it’s time for a little stratergerical repositioning. Don’t see how they can pull it off yet, but once Donnie implodes they’re going to need a couple of new tunes. Maybe we’re hearing a couple of new bandsmen tuning up…

Yeah I think so. I really do.

When has Stone toiled as anything but a pundit or GOP party operative? Perhaps he was comparing his “work” to that of Carlson who is nothing but a GOP flunky, too? Just how old was Stone when he did recon work for Nixon at Watergate?

Does Fox News include itself in the “alternative media” category?

I think it is interesting that MSNBC is using Nunberg as an expert. He is a fact witness. Hell he might be indicted if he lied to Mueller.

With all those tapes available of Wilbur and Donald saying things like it’s so easy to get a bank loan to buy a loaf of bread or use a personal IOU at the supermarket, I’m not sure Populism is the way they may want to go. The laughter has been pretty much universal across all party lines. Putin’s laughter of the Communist Party in particular.

Shhhh, let’s not tell them. They can make it a “learning moment”…

This is the time for Stone to keep a low profile. But he can’t stop, can he?

IOW those that lie as a profession, Hannity, Coulter, Daily Stormer, Biebert, etc.
