Christie on why he wouldn’t sign the letter: “It’s a bridge too far.”

We KNOW you are a liar Christie…and you blame your ‘underlings’ for YOUR nefarious BS so…yes prosecutors have an ‘opinion’…MOST of them have a healthy respect for the rule of law. Guess you don’t fall into that category.

Christie went on to say he wouldn’t sign the letter because he doesn’t believe “there’s a crime of attempted obstruction.”

Keep in mind that this is the guy who prosecuted Jared Kushner’s dad for obstruction, and said

“And so what am I supposed to do as a prosecutor? I mean If a guy hires a prostitute to seduce his brother-in-law, and videotapes it, and then sends the videotape to his sister to attempt to intimidate her from testifying before a grand jury, do I really need any more justification than that?”

(just to clarify, the intimidation DID NOT WORK. The sister gave the tape to the prosecutor. In other words “attempted obstruction”)

Nor does it reflect well on his leadership or management skills to claim he couldn’t keep his own department honest.

Yes, I will certainly listen to the opinions of two people whose combined approval ratings almost rival those of jock itch and Mitch McConnell.

“…and I fully expected of my staff that each and every one of them would allow their political opinions and loyalties to skew their prosecutorial work, hey, what do you think I hired them for? That’s the way we play that game in NJ.”

He didn’t actually say that last part out loud, but he might as well have.

I assume jock itch has a healthy lead over McConnell.
