its easy why Grimm is winning - same reason why any Republican is winning -
as long as you hate immigrants, poor people, women, blacks, gays, Hispanics, and Obama – nothing else you do matters. You can be a serial killer, a thief, a wife beater, a cheat, or a drug addict – all that is irrelevant as long as you have enough of the hates in your portfolio

nah… it’s just dems doing what they always do… no strategery whatsoever… i guess the house dems didn’t realize that staten island has congressional representation and might need a bonafied candidate or two…
I live on SI and have been campaigning for Recchia. He’s a really good guy and right on the issues but very inarticulate. It is really frustrating, since Grimm is such a dirt bag. His followers are highly motivated and the dems are less so, as usual with off year elections. We expect that if Grimm wins, he’ll use his seat as bargaining chip to avoid prison. Then there will be a special election here and they will put in a popular republican to keep the seat for the next 20 years. Ugh.

I guess the Repugs on Staten Island want to send Grimm back to join the other TPers, criminals, psychopaths and sociopaths in Congress. But grimmy appears to be worse than most in that disgusting body of corrupt politicians.
How are Democrats blowing this? That’s a really good question for Steve Israel.
