The “apology” was both demanded by and written by FOX’s lawyers who feared expensive litigation and possible elimination from broadcasting authority in France and other EU countries.

Did any of the male leads apologize? I do have to admit is fun to watch FOX NEWS and see batshit crazy any time I turn it on.

Why is Fox News singling out Steve Emerson? They book hundreds of Steve Emerson types all the time. There’s a Steve Emerson for Politics, a Steve Emerson for Economics, a Steve Emerson for foreign policy, a Steve Emerson for climate change, etc. These Steve Emersons all say nonsense that is demonstrably false, but you don’t retract those. Hopefully this is a start to that process, but I doubt it.

Yea, that was the best part of the clip. Totally exposed those people for their extreme ignorance, even of their own beliefs. Also, I thought it was suspicious that Fox “News” had only women apologize for the lie. I don’t watch that channel, so I don’t know if it’s all women now, but it seemed like a ploy of some sort…say it with a pretty face and maybe people will pay attention less.

To be frank, I thought it was weird that they didn’t make that guy himself come on and apologize for his hate-mongering lie. That would have made it more sincere…a forced televised apology.
