It’s hard not to gawk (and laugh at) a little bit.

ā€œDo you know who I am? DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM???ā€

Wanker.

(And never a good look…)

I for one would have been interested in Steve’s answer. I don’t know what an increased tax on incomes over $10 million would be. It didn’t seem to hurt the economy during the Eisenhower years.

Seems like a natural consequence of having the technology for newsmakers and analysts to communicate in ever more freewheeling ways. You tended not to get this sort of emotional stuff on ā€œMeet the Pressā€ in 1977. A podcast is a lot closer to daily life and if it freewheels itself to a place where people are upset with each other and say so that’s no surprise really.

ā€œNever-Trumpā€ people who don’t support Democrats are still Trump supporters.
I bet you could not get Schmidt to agree that Harris would be better than Trump.

And we tend not to get much of anything out of the same show today.

I’m sure never-Trumpers sincerely don’t like Trump. I see no reason to be dubious about that. But they’re still conservatives, and they’re not going to have much good to say about 70 percent marginal rates. They’ve all made that kind of thing perfectly clear.

What’s with these guys who look and behave like the only job they might actually qualify for is bar bouncer?

Steve Schmidt has been hyper critical of Trump and for that I cannot complain. By throwing a tantrum, at least he is not responding like Trump and the Trumpers, i.e. defending the indefensible, telling complete lies, or mining the grotesque and bigoted behavior or supporters.

Moral of the story, never drink before a podcast.

Gee, another prima donna who thinks because he ā€œbuckedā€ his political past, he should be treated like a king. These men are peacocks with glass egos who love to rail against everyone else. Good riddance, Steve. On every show he’s on, he completely dominates the conversation.

If he can’t explain a position, like his possible candidate’s chances of success… without getting into a hissy fit, hes not ready for prime time. ( the candidate, that is). Steve was part of the team that unleashed Palin on the public, laying the groundwork for trump. So… if he can’t stand the heat then stay the heck out of the kitchen.

Come-on. Lets get real here. Steve Schmidt has spent 2 years being one of the lone republicans who are pretending to be anti-Trump. He has been waiting for the tide to turn and the GOP to wake up to the fact that they are being scammed by a con-man, who himself is being conned by the the Saudis and controlled by the Russians. Yet, that hour has not come. The entire Republican party is still Party Unity over protecting Americas security and place in the world. Still tax cuts for the rich and corruption for its donners over the American People. Yet, meanwhile, Schmidt has to stay relevent, he has to get in on the action. Along comes Schultz, a guy whose ego is bigger than his brain and who is willing to do anything for even a small shot at the big ring. And if that elects Trump again, well so be it, Howard’s Taxes will stay low whether he or Trump wins. Its a win win for Schmidt, he gets millions from Schultz, and he is suddenly back in the game.

And some some punk wants to ask hard questions? Contrast his actions to his stated principles about Trump? Why would the guy not get mad, Schmidt’s great two year long con just got blown.

MSNBC and CNN sure treat these people like kings and queens. They can’t put them on the air fast enough…

I am confused. He thought the podcast was ā€˜hijacked’ and yet he was being interviewed by Levine. Elise Jordon ā€˜stepped away’ because ???. She agrees with Steve? OK…she’s a co-founder and what? Why was Levine interviewing them and did they somehow ā€˜think’ that it was completely scripted or what?

Schultz is paying Schmidt handsomely to flak for him. He was on MSNBC a few weeks ago and had his schit together explaining the rich man’s (GOP) dogma on taxes. I don’t think Mr. Levine’s question was out of line, in fact it was part of a good discussion on policy. Walking out and then his buddy Elise Jordan leaving their podcast company seems like a huge overreaction, putting it mildly. I thought words mattered?

Funny, I just heard about Words Matter last night, and it’s already dead.

Just like TV shows I finally get around to watching or bands I discover by accident, I always jump on the bandwagon right after the wheels have come off.

Actually off mic Schmidt was told he had some spinach in his teeth.

Tellement embarrassƩ!!

I’ve heard about this podcast and this article guarantees I’ll be listening to this episode now. I was enjoying cheering Steve on when he appeared on shows and twitter and knew the day would come where we would go back to our relative corners. I just didn’t think it would before Trump was ousted.
