Um…yeah, President Clinton was impeached…by a vindictive Republican Party who seemed to not understand that one, apparently, cannot commit perjury in a civil case…that the legal definition of sex actually does not include anything that Lewinsky and Clinton did together…and that you actually have to prove a case in order to convict someone of wrongdoing.

Sure you can. You swear the oath and lie your balls off in open court or in an affidavit, etc. Then, usually, the judge will hold you in contempt and fine you or issue other sanctions or whatever. I think you’re confusing this with the fact that “civil contempt” is usually how it’s treated and that perjury is very rarely prosecuted or treated as a crime because it’s very hard to actually prove the intent element.

If Hilary is making these Rethugs so apoplectic and deranged now, then she must be the right candidate for the Democratic Party. Looking forward to seeing their heads explode.
With all this piling on her before she even announces her candidacy, they’re pissing off a lot of progressives who might have otherwise exhibited some ambivalence towards HRC. She frightens the spit out of the Teabaggers and the other Republican cabal.
