I’m pretty much throwing a big party in my house right now.

This might be the second-best piece of news we could get, but I’d like to know more. Restrained delight, joy and relief until then.

So, does this mean Kushner won the battle for Hand of the President and Bannon’s on this way out? Will Bannon face the same fate as Ned Stark? (Crosses fingers)

Repeat from the other thread. They’re getting scared. Or McMaster threatened to quit unless they removed Bannon. Or both.

Steve Bannedon - at least (so far) where the NSC is concerned. Wonder who pushed this envelope. Jared? Vanki?

Hopefully, this is just the tip of the FBI investigation iceberg.

Jared must have been instrumental in this. In the meantime, I’m thrilled. He never should have been there in the first place.

That’s what I wondered. Internecine warfare among the henchpersons, or some hideous piece of information about to break on Bannon from the sane outside world? Could be anything, really.

Check your back, Curly Steve. Trump has been using Kushner as a sort of diplomatic Swiss Army Knife. Maybe Kushner has decided to essay the role literally. Or Trump…Nah, he’s known for standing behind his people. Maybe a teensy extra bit of Bourbon tonight will help you sleep…

McMaster had that “I told you so” moment about the Flynn placed aide that McMaster tried to remove, only to be overturned by Bannon - and then have that whole story come out as part of the Nunes Whitehouse late night debacle.

Yes, let us suppose that Bannon was unmasked.

Hahahahahahaha Ralph_vonholst mentioned that possibility and I love it

I’ll take anything. Fatal cancer diagnosis, a complete mental breakdown; loss of health insurance under ACA repeal, anything…

From the Bloomberg article

A White House official said that Bannon was placed on the [principals] committee in part to monitor Trump’s first national security adviser, Michael Flynn, and never attended a meeting. He’s no longer needed with McMaster in charge of the council, the official said.

Yeah, right. So he was there to monitor Flynn (out loud laughable!) but he also never attended a single meeting.

Another “misspeak” by a WH official?
