Governor LePage should demand that states not receive any more from the Feds than they put in. Part of the problem in the Northeast is that states in the South get far more than they put into the Federal coffers and that allows them to cut taxes for businesses who then move South. People then follow the jobs because they have to.

King was a Republican until his wife convinced him otherwise when Bush was president.

Lepage is still Governor? I guess that I was blocking that out.

The truth is, that Lepage is scaring people away from Maine, even people that deal with scary as a business.

Um what? No, King has long been a staunch liberal Democrat.

He even named his son after labor activist Joe Hill, for chrissakes.

Well, itā€™s time the Governor got off his fat ass and did something about the weather.

LePage deftly demonstrates how to put your foot in your mouth and simultaneously shoot yourself in the foot.

Lepage really shouldnā€™t want to get into a battle of wits with Stephen King.

I donā€™t think so. King has a history of supporting and contributing to liberal causes.

Didnā€™t know that, but it makes sense for a guy whoā€™s ghost prominently watches over folks (at least according to the song).

And hereā€™s a special shout out to independent sphincter Eliot Cutler and every goddamned imbecile who voted for him in the last two elections. Way to go, guys!

King, personally, earns something like 40% of the money earned in Bangor ME. Or he did at one time.

I think he needs to man up and apologize.

Exactly right. Conservatives are so full of unearned masculine pride that questioning their manliness is exactly the right way to get them to respond. Their response will be of the 4th grade ā€œI know you are but what am I?ā€ variety, thatā€™s expected, but anything that questions their manliness will worm itā€™s way under their skin and sooner or later the misogeny, racism, bigotry or devient behavior they all crave will come crashing down on them.

King should write a new horror novel about the GOP and its policies: The Shit Shining.

The more I know of Stephen King (outside of his works) the more I like him. He certainly seems to ā€œget itā€ when it comes to why we have taxes.

LePage is one of the worst things to happen to Maine - self absorbed asshole who wages war against everyone outside of his ā€˜eliteā€™ inner circle.
