I miss you, Stephen!
I don’t like the beard haha
Yeah really, what’s with the rug on his chin?
Very funny guy, and given the reports about how well he treats his staff… a very decent human being too.
“How many divisions does the Pope have?”

Treating subordinates kindly is one characteristic of effective leaders.
Is he doing a Smith Bros. commercial during his hiatus?
Such a shame most of the god-botherers in this country haven’t examined ANY of their faith as much as he put into his favorite saint. Would do a world of good if they did.
Another celebrity falling to the increasing scope of the HLF… the Hair Liberation Front!! Covert opreatives are everywhere, waiting to grow in your neighborhood, under your arms, even in your very ears!
My question is will he keep it at the Sigmund stage, or go full Taliban/Duck Dynasty. From the growth on his cheeks he’ll never make it to the ZZ Top.
Stephen or the Schweppes Bitter Lemon spokesguy from the 60s?
I blame hipsters. Fucking. Hipsters.
I think there’s a squirrel on his face.
Maybe he just wants some non-celebrity time?
Yeah what’s up wit that?
Pretty smart guy to have such a bully pulpit on network television. Weird, right?
I honestly can’t tell where the sincere Stephen Colbert ends and and the insincere begins, where the religious ends and the sacreligious begins. And he’s headed for the rigid, commercial CBS/NBC/ABC movie-selling wasteland of late night television. Damn.
Damn shame his giving up that O’Beckitty character has bled out all his charm, energy, enthusiasm, humor, joy, personality and wit. CBS must be scared spitless about their late night line-up.
TV talk hosts as a set are pretty freakin’ quick and smart, but going back even all the way to the beginning of the concept, has there ever been anyone as fast and motile and freaky whip smart as this guy? I think not. It’s like the fundamental forces of Paar, Carson, Moyers & Stewart have re-unified.
Didn’t recognize him for a second with that fur…
Makes him look old, he should get rid of it.
I do like the beard but then I’ve had one since the mid 1980’s. I think it looks good. I don’t mind being in the minority on this one.
