Discussion: State Trooper Tried To Help Driver Find Lodging For Kids Before Fatal Shooting

Discussion for article #240505

Driving 103 mph with 2 kids in the car while having a suspended license. Jackass.

That is beyond tragic. I suspect the driver had more to fear than a suspended license

Yep. Talk to the kids.

I wish more cops were like this.

What’s more sad is that Fox News will use this guy as their poster boy as to why blacks are criminals, thug, etc. but they never do that when whites kill cops or serial kill people.

They sure forgot the teabagger murder of two Las Vegas cops in the pizza parlor-especially the part about draping the body of one cop with the teabagger flag. They love to talk about the “hero” who drew his koncealed karry koward blaster in the WalMart. Two seconds before he was shot.

That was what I was going to say. Seems like cops are much more likely to be killed by a white guy. I guess cops can argue that that is because they preemptively shoot all blacks.

So tragic, but seems like things like this “might” be more controllable. If you’re a trooper in rural whatever guy at the wheel might get the idea they have a 50/50 shot if they simply just drive away.

Sure the suspect could have gotten out of the car opened fire on the trooper then remove any wheel chock block - but the trooper would have some warning.

Must be a real blast doing traffic stops in “you get a gun and you get a gun and you get a gun” type of states

But do we ever hear police forces come out in favor of some kind of effective gun control.

I don’t think there are legitimate excuses which can be made for the behavior of this young man who shot the policeman who tried to help he and the other family members. The stupid and reckless young man was driving at 103 miles per hour with children in the car. He did not respect the lives of those children, either.

I don’t care what the skin color is of someone like this young man, I only care that he had no respect, seemingly, for anyone or anything and that young policeman who seems to have been a decent and kind person who did not deserve to die.

Stop talking about how black men get shot by policeman, yada, yada, yada. That was not the case here and no one needs to go but, but, but cops do this. There is no excuse for what occurred in this situation and no other excuses should come into play.

They have; but you’re right, we never “hear” that in the MSM.

Exactly, it is their way of almost justifying it (though that only applies to a few people on here), reminds me of when Republicans say “what about what Bill Clinton did” when a Republican gets nailed for something… stay on topic. The topic here is this low life POS who had no regard for ANYONE except himself.
