Discussion: State Police Raid Pennsylvania Office In Alleged Voter Registration Fraud Case

Indiana State Police and now the Pennsylvania State Police? Am I recognizing a pattern?

Who initiated the request for the warrant? Steve Bannon? Kellyanne Conway? Corey Lewandowski?

Disgusted minds want to know…

This voter-suppression stuff is out of control.

And after the election, we’ll hear how lower turnout this year proves there was widespread fraud going on in prior elections.

Before I start jumping to conclusions, it looks like there may be a difference between the PA raid and the Indiana raid. It’s difficult to tell from the report whether the voter reg org itself is the target, or if the warrant had to be obtained because the org didn’t have the authority to give up some information on allegedly fraudulent forms.

In any case, I saw in the philly.com comments that the total lack of understanding in the difference between voter election fraud and voter registration fraud is alive and well.

This shit needs to be addressed nationally by the DNC and the President. They are playing the ACORN game all over again and the only people who will suffer from such legalistic machinations are votes unable to register, disenfranchised because of an over-zealous RNC.

Make this loud and put it to bed.

The FBI must get involved. Now Comey has announced he is investigating Hillary’s ties to Bill:

Law enforcement is staging a coup. We’ll tell this story around the campfires when the children ask us about the end of all things.

This “white votes matter” campaign is in NC too where African-American vote is down in part because early vote options have been limited in black areas by the GOP power structure. Active voter suppression takes many forms.

Rethuglican brownshirts at work. If they can’t win with ideas and policy, they can try to win with intimidation. Shameful, and I pray for the day they get their comeuppance.

GOP: Yes; Democrats must be stopped from voting at any cost.

“same or similar identifying information of individuals on multiple forms”

“Look, Sarge, this one has a name. And a birthdate. And a signature. It must be fraud!”

WTF is voter-registration fraud anyway? Yeah, I know what it is in theory, but going from there to what you would have to do to actually get fraudulent ballots cast, especially in states with any kind of ID requirement or precincts where poll workers know the voters…

It just seems like a bizarre thing to have the State Police even claiming to freak out about, especially right next to an election, when there’s absolutely nothing that could be done to prevent the fraudulent voting that they’re ostensibly worried about.

Why is it that the only two raid to happen (at least the ones I know of) are against democratic places

Remember the GOP dude back in 2012 who smugly swore the Republicans were going to take the state this time because of their voter suppression efforts and President Obama took it anyway by 310,000 votes? They even tried to BUY it? I sure do! Sound familiar?

Surprised we don’t see “Following up on a tip from the FBI…”

In the eyes of Republicans, voter registration fraud is defined as anyone registering to vote who is black, Latino, or registering as a Democrat.

Question: If both a suburban Republican voter registration office and a city Democratic voter registration office have ten “Thomas Smiths” with similar identifiers, for which office do police get the search warrant to obstruct and harass?
