Discussion for article #233364
Why is this suggestion even controversial?
And lets not forget that it was George W. Bush who brought us ISIS by attacking IRAQ.
Two-edged sword. “It’s so obvious that even Dubya agrees” or “Dubya agrees … well, not sure if it’s right.”
Seriously, can we grow up? It isn’t the ONLY thing to do, but a major way to help prevent disorder of various types is to remove underlining causes. The same is true regarding supporting education and job training to reduce crime here. Discontent arising from need are enablers in many a war or revolution.
Conservative math : sound bites > facts

If I’m trying to make a point, bringing up the fact that W agrees with me is not one I’d want to make.
well george bush did fight poverty…fought poverty so that very wealthy people would never have to experience it as for the rest of us tough nuggies…go to a recruitment center and sign up have we got a war for you
She is addressing the conservatives directly because they are rather, Pavlovian, lets say.
Say Reagan-get treat, hear bush-roll over play dead.

Because her statement, taken at face value, perfectly aligns with the right’s “Dems are terrorist coddlers” meme and the media can’t pass up an opportunity to parrot right-wing talking-points.
I would think it a badge of honor to be mocked by Fox News.
Well McBain, it’s more than obvious that many on the right extoll stupidity and/or lack of education and any deep thought is mocked.
Facts are meaningless in Wingnuttia.
