Discussion: State Department Removes Post Promoting Mar-A-Lago From Website

The corruption is coming from so many different directions, it’s hard to keep up with it all.

Sometimes, as in this case the sunlight = disinfectant, does work.

I saw this growing on twitter early in the afternoon - and a few hours later picked up in media (WaPo, CNN, MSNBC and others.) Viva la Sunlight!

Yup, you’re right. The only problem is that it took three weeks for the sun to get to that corner of the corruption-net.

This will seem like kids stuff when they get to the heart of what is really going on…what a sad transition it has been from an air of dignity to a carnival side show at the WH…IT will take years to undo this travesty.

You’ve got it all wrong, we’re not promoting it in its role as Mr. Trump’s private club, we are promoting it in its role as the ‘Winter White House.’

Indeed. Far too long.

I’ve been really interested in Rachel Maddow’s reporting on this instance and the instance of the unidentified CentCom spokesperson speaking inappropriately. How much you wanna bet that “John Miller” was the source of these articles/statements?

Has anyone checked other cabinet websites for Trump ads?
–Trump U on DepEducation
–Trump steaks, Ivanka jewelry on Commerce
–Trump resorts on Interior
–Russian mob money on Treasury

With so many instances of corruption it makes one wonder how many other things get missed whilst attempting to cover the daily shit show.

OT but related…

A couple of days ago TPM had an article about Ivanka hiring a chief of staff prior to her planned trip to Germany for the W-20 meeting on women’s issues. I put in the comments that I doubted she would be welcomed here.

According to Daily Beast she was booed and hissed when she tried to peddle her dad as being a “champion of families”…

Hey, Ivanka: told ya.

Also: Drumpfie and his spawn will never get it.

To be contrary - could be a troll. The post shows up in UK and Albania?

I’m glad she got the hostile reception a hypocrite like her deserves. But it’s also deeply corrupt to take someone who’s so much a face of the Trump brand and inject her into global politics. It’s corrupt in every way things can be corrupt. And it may not be until we can get a wave election going and take back Congress that this even begins to be addressed in any but a weaselly, grudging, after-the-damage-is-done way.

But the audience bristled at her praise for the US president.
An audible groan went up as she told the room her father was a “tremendous champion of supporting families and enabling them to thrive”.

If only Congress had some sort of Oversight Committee that could look into these allegations…
