Discussion for article #242034
Well⊠I see TPM is jumping in the gameâŠwith AP as a partner. âthe Obama administrationâs changing narrative about who was responsible for the attacksââŠnarrative donât cha know. BecauseâŠâthe Obama administrationâ should have known instantaneouslyâŠto the slightest detail exactly what was going on in that chaotic riot on the other side of the world. There is no room for that story to âdevelopâ as the AP often claims itâs doâŠjust 100 % spot on. And in a fraction of a second from the act.
As for the âslow military responseâ ( not Sec. of States perview ) we already know why. But I suppose it makes good copy to pretend you donât.
No one in the Obama Administration has ever claimed this did not happen, that the 4 Americans werenât killed as a result of it or that more security might have prevented it. Theyâve been forced to fight crap about âstand down ordersâ knowing the attack was coming. With help from clowns like the AP the majority of Americaâs are carrying around a bogus version of what went down in Benghazi that night. The reason: it helps the GOP.
Stakes may be high I just donât think they have anything on her because I donât think she did anything especially wrong. I blame the bureaucracy, but no one person especially her. And the fact that he died from smoke inhalation almost says to me he had a lot of basic protection in the building.
I do wonder if the committee willâŠ
-start calling all those cancelled witnesses that Clinton is sure to bring up.
-release the Blumenthal testimony.
-release all previous testimony like Humaâs.
-continue to stick to the meme that the final report will only surface 30-60-90 days before the election.
-see all but one Democrat leave the committee, with only one staying to refute the Rethuglicanâs witch hunt.
-fold, end all interviews and essentially drop the whole thing save the final report once again due out just before November, 2016.
The world wonders!
"What time is it, boys and girls?"
Câmon now! It isnât a circus. The elephants and the clowns are just a coincidence.
And from the Repukes during Dubyaâs eight year Reign of Terror:
Add to that the fact that the Repigs cut more than 4 billion$ from embassy security before Benghazi and then had the gall to yell about security illustrates how political, how base, how vacuous and how depraved this present Benghazi Clown College show is.
Well said. The lack of any critical balance between this investigation and the 60 deaths that occurred in Embassies during the Bush administration should, to any sane individual, scream âpoliticsâ.
Its like the media, having received countless emails from the Nigerian Royal Family (i.e. the GOP), really believe that they represent legitimate news and must be covered with unctuous sincerity.
Hilllary should tell them to go fuck themselves.
Chunk Toadâs prĂ©cis:
a) The Committee canât lose if they look like statesmen
b) Hillary canât appear to be a politician
Did Chunk actually get that high school diploma?
I get the distinct feeling the build up to this was way over blown and it will never live up to peoples expectations. I am thinking it may be a snooze actually.
Still confused about how the broader issue of the email server (which I donât give a flying f*ck about) came under the committeeâs brief. Can former Secretary of State Clinton focus only on Benghazi, referring every question about the emails back to the supposed central subject?
@PickWick I almost feel like watching the whole thing in hopes of hearing her pwn Gowdy and indirectly point out that the GOP has already admitted this is a hit job. Given the nature of this kind of hearing, though, I think I may have to wait for the highlights.

Because this committee is not really about investigating âwhat really happened in Benghazi.â Itâs about taking down Hillary Clinton and Republicans winning back the presidency (and having total control of the federal government) after next year.
It reminds me of the scene in Season 3 of The West Wing when the House committee supposedly investigating President Bartlettâs failure to disclose his MS diagnosis calls, as witnesses, former patients of First Lady Abby Bartlett who filed malpractice suits against her.
